Avatar - rip off? Years ago I read a book by Alan Dean Foster called Sentenced To Prism...it quckly became my fav book ever but unfortunately I lost it and have been unable to find another copy since (except for stupid money). I always thought that this would make a fantastic movie...
Now, it's been a while but,if my memory serves me a military man goes down to a beautiful but strange foreign planet which is rich in resources that are being plundered. He has an accident whilst down there that renders all his hightech equipment and military suit useless and he is unable to move. Through a symbiotic relationship with one of the planets indiginous species he is able to move again and becomes intune with the planet. He eventually loves the place so much that he fights against the human plundeters for the planets sake. Isn't that the premise of Camerons new Avatar film? Avatar Avatar the last airbender though they are making a film of this as well its not due out to summer 2010 though the previews look amazing. I am really looking forward to the Avatar film I am surprised by the lack of hype over it considering it had so much money spent on making it (300 million) and is maent to be a blockbuster With Love there is no Death

Now the clips are out and the game is released it just seems like an average film in 3d (yawn!!!) and a seen-it, done-it video game. Big PR failure

You know Alan Dean Foster wrote another book about a 'farm boy' on a desert planet who's uncle and aunt are killed and he is taken off in a space ship to rescue a Princess by a crazy old wizard of sorts. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

I knew he'd done the novelisation of Star Wars and written a couple of other Star Wars novels. Did he do something with a similar story before those? RIP

I was talking about how he Ghost wrote STAR WARS based on George's screen play. He also wrote "Splinter of the Minds Eye" that came out soon after Star Wars. ANd I think sever other SW books in recent years. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

Well he (Cameron) did say the film was based on every science fiction book he ever read. I'll take that as a yes - rip off.

It's "Dances With Wolves" with blue cat people. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

He wanted to though - I remember the passage "she's throbbin' for a knobin'" Luke thought to himself as he looked at Leia bending over to mend the small R2 droid Leia couldn't help herself " I'd satisfy your stiffy in a jiffy" she muttered under her breath, just loud enough for Luke to overhear. Their eyes locked and then the farmboy pounced,As Luke undressed her he shouted "Whos your daddy!!??"
