Sunday Routine

What do ya'll do usually on Sunday, or does it change up every so often?

Me, I'm usually scheduled to work the day, so I'm up now, getting some food in the ol' warp engine, though there are weekends that I work Saturday, preferably. Then I get laundry done and some light shopping at Whole Foods after.

What it do what it do for you?

Couponing...

^ This coupon binder isn't mine, but I have one just like it.

I get the Sunday paper and I plan my shopping and menus for the week based on what's on sale and especially matches what I have coupon(s) for, which is just about everything, lol.

On the weekends, when I wake up I make my tea as I check the org and facebook. That's about as much of a routine as I have on the weekends.

OH - and I usually make the exact same thing for breakfast (egg sandwich w/light garlic and herb cheese and veggie bacon on light whole wheat toast), unless I'm going out, which is rare these days.

on sundays if my husband doesn't have to work, we go to san francisco to the brazilian first baptist church at 6pm. and before that we go to golden gate park, or the beach, or lunch and the mall, always something fun.

If I don't have give tours at the museum (2 weekend days/month) I usually:

sleep in, have blueberry pancakes for brunch, listen to Classic Soul on Sundays on the radio while cleaning or doing little odds and ends around the apartment. After Classic Soul ends, I usually watch the cooking shows on PBS.
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I usually get up, go get something to eat, look at the org for a little while, then go look at some dicks on the internet, watch a little TV, eat again, then go to sleep for work the next morning.

I love the Sunday morning news/talk shows and DVR them just in case I'm doing something and miss them live. I also like a nice Sunday breakfast and reading the paper in bed with lots of coffee.

Then a little shopping for groceries, cleaning, usually catching up on a lot of phone calls to family and friends, and sometimes football.

Then 60 Minutes, The Simpsons, and Family Guy.

My ideal Sunday would include:

Sleeping late

taking a long, hot bath

going out for pancakes

seeing a movie

taking a leisurely walk outside

afternoon tea

grocery shopping for the week

cloud9

...unfortunately, they don't usually go like that
If you will, so will I

Sunday is breakfast day. Weekdays we eat whenever we can, grabbing this or that for breakfast. Sundays we have bacon, eggs, some toast, and some taters.

Also..Sunday paper. I check sales on media at Target and Best Buy. Coupon cutting. Sometimes we'll nap. Sometimes we'll put in a new movie we've bought but not watched yet. (My roommate has the new Harry Potter Blu-ray that he is/we are still due to watch, although I'm not a fan of spells and potions and witchcraft.) Into the evening, we usually have a good "Sunday" meal, like a yummy pot roast, mashed potatoes, etc. Today we're having smothered pork chops and the fixings. I look forward to shows on TV later, like Cleveland Show, Family Guy, and whatever Showtime is showing. Tonight is the season finale of Dexter and Californication, so I'll be glued to those. Other times of the year it might be The Tudors or Nurse Jackie, etc.

Overall, it's an easy going day. I'm rarely out of my 'around the house' clothes on a Sunday.

I'll be glad when football season is OVER! wink I lurrrve basketball, I'm a good spouse when it comes to that. But football? I'm all girl. But I have noticed that I pay attention to that damn sport way more than I used to...fucker wink

Usually we take the kids to the park or maybe to the swimming pool, followed by lunch and a lazy afternoon at home.

This sunday I woke up with a hangover and sick in my hair.
I had a long hot shower... followed by eating crisps and drinking coke to make me feel better while helping my kids make christmas cards...
then delivered a birthday present to my nephew who turned 18... then after my kids went to bed I snuggled on the sofa to watch TV.
