My girl love mushy

I watched every single bit of those movies and I love 'em all,,,esp Ninotchka and the Women.

Do you know that Jack Warner cited Bette Davis as the 1st choice to play Scarlett O'Hara? hmmm But considering that she played Jezebel the year before opposite Henry Fonda, she thought the story was similar and didn't want to basically redo the same performance. As much as I ADORE Ms.Davis, I wouldn't change a thing from Vivien Leigh's performance(nor Olivia de Havilland's love).

Lemme add a film to your list(from the same year)...

highfive Gone with the Wind is actually my favorite movie ever. My top 10 movies are all from 1939-1960.

Yeah, I knew about Bette but all of the casting was perfect. I've seen a making of GWTW and the screen tests they did of MANY actresses to cast the role. That movie production was plagued with drama. They say Clark and Vivien couldn't stand each other!

Leslie Howard was on fiyah that year nod But Pygmalion came out in '38

Did you know he was rumored to be a British spy hence why a civilian plane he was on was shot down by the Germans?
