i love Christmas, but this year dec. seems to be going by so fast, i still need to buy a few more gifts. been having fun with my son making handmade gifts for some folks at his school and in our family.
another thing we are doing with our son is making sure he understands that it's important to give to others, so we went shopping the other day for kids that need jackets for winter.

We haven't exchanged gifts in years when we all got together and made an agreement that we wouldn't because it was too damn expense and breaking all of us. I haven't really done anything on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day in years also since my brother and sister usually go to their inlaws. Regardless though, I still put up a tree every year. I just love this time of year from the coldness outside, to the Christmas music, and especially getting some days off from work. Hell, getting days off should be reason enough to enjoy it. I come home from work in a grump every day ,and theres a few weeks to go. Im over it already! If it wasnt for my rugrat and family, and SS, id give it a miss completely. Please post some inspirational , feel good holiday stories, so i can get jump start my buried xmas spirit I'm totally NOT a Christmas/ holiday season person at all so there isn't much I can do to boost your cheer However, being around people who are all merry and whatnot does rub off a bit, and after looking at Christmas decorations this weekend, I'm considering even putting up a tree this year! If you will, so will I

Same here. If not for my brother's kids, I'd sleep all day. Christmas hasn't meant anything to me since my childhood.

Here's your inspirational story:
There once was an owner of an old broken down Savings & Loan who's stupid partner lost a large sum of money at the bank. The money was scooped up by the evil owner of the bank. The owner of the Savings & Loan decided to kill himself by jumping into the river on a cold Christmas Eve. An angel from heaven jumped into the water before the Savings & Loan guy, and S & L guy instantly becomes an expert swimmer and dives in to save the angel and himself in the icy waters that were supposed to be so deadly. They get warmed up in a shack that is conveinently nearby, (and open on Christmas Eve no less), and the angel decides to show S & L guy what life would be like without him in it. A series of hilarious escapades insues, including being shot at by a cop on a crowded street, and the man returns home to be arrested only to find all his friends have coughed up their money to help him out. A bell rings and the angel gets his wings. Or something like that.

He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I have not liked xmas for at least the last 15 years. I know it may sound selfish, but i get pretty tired of doing stuff for people and not being shown any consideration by said people. I am putting in an effort this year but so far I don't have any xmas spirit.I come home from work in a grump every day ,and theres a few weeks to go. Im over it already!
