He could keep philanderering out of the media spotlight.

Why is Tiger getting so much hate for doing what so many other folks are doing(famous & non-famous)?

Because he was sloppy, careless, and extra-callous. Plus, all the hos are talking so details are coming out. It's one thing to know somebody cheated but it's an entirely different thing to know he fucked a skanky waitress in the home he shared with his pregnant wife. Those kinda details and the sheer number of hos is what's burying him. The same woulda happened to MJ if details like these surfaced. shrug

I bet many of those people didn't want Tiger to break the record before all this came out, but now feel justified in that wish.

Not me. Heck, I paid $4K for an autographed hole flag from the '97 Masters. And I have other Tiger Woods autographed stuff too, but that flag is the most historical.

Now, I'd probably sell it for the best offer.

That's absolute BS. Jack Nicklaus has NEVER been known as "The King". You're making shit up now.

Unless you're thinking of Arnold Palmer, who was a major philanderer until a guy here in Houston caught him and threatened to kill him. That was about 40 years ago.

Well, according to some of the golf experts I hear on WFAN, Jack wasn't exactly Mr. Nice-Guy either, like Tiger. And Michael Jordan was brutal to other players, including his teammates. To single out Tiger is unfair. Fans should be concerned about the performance on the field, and stop expecting athletes to be what they want them to be.

True, no one is without sin. But the egregiousness of this IMO is in the details of how much he didn't give a fuck. Cheating is bad enough but the depths of what he did is worse IMO. This wasn't ONE indiscretion or lapse in judgement. He repeatedly did this in a relatively short time period, in their home no less. I'm fucking him up on GP. nod

they're singling him out because it's his time. It was Kobe a while back. Michael Phelps, Ron Artest, Sprewell, Jordan, Pete Rose, Barry Bonds, Jose Canseco, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic, Tyson--they all get their moments in the spotlight.

The big mistake Tiger made was getting married in the first place, which I'll never understand. If you want to be like Wilt Chamberlain or Derek Jeter, stay single.

LMAO, yeah talk radio callers are absolutely where you should get your opinions.

I've been around golf for 30 years. We even sponsored a guy in his attempt to make it on the PGA tour. I can't say I know Jack Nicklaus but I can say that I have never heard anyone say a bad thing about him. I've never heard anyone say he ran around on his wife, or that he was a jerk. On the contrary, Jack Nicklaus is admired by everyone that I've ever met that knows him.

But what does being an asshole have to do with anything? What pisses me off about Woods is that he is a CHEATER. This pisses me off on two levels.

One, obviously, is the moral level. I think anyone that vows monogamy to another owes it to that person to keep that vow. And if they don't want to, they need to be a MAN and tell their spouse before they start stepping out that things aren't good enough.

Cheating is not manly - at ALL.

The second level is that golf is a sport more dependent on honesty than any other sport. Golfers self-regulate. They call penalties themselves. Integrity is the most valued of all traits. If you REALLY want to hurt a golfer, call him a cheater.

There's nothing worse you can say about a golfer. And now, Tiger Woods is a cheater. Maybe not at golf, but his actions off the course will call into question his actions ON the course. He will never get the benefit of the doubt from his competitors again.

If you haven't played golf at a high level, you aren't going to understand this, but trust me on it.

I said "experts", not callers. People like Mike Francesca, who knows his shit.

When Tiger Woods engages in illegal activity, then people can get on their high horse. Until then, they're just talking out of their ass. Like I said, let the finger-pointers expose their shit.

Ho # 1 Rachel Uchitel Back in NYC

December 8, 2009

Rachel Uchitel was back at her apartment in NYC after a week-long trip to L.A. to negotiate a multi-million dollar payoff by Tiger Woods' people to remain silent about her steamy affair with the golf legend.

On Mon., Dec. 7, the sexy party planner went out to dinner at Crispo, a West Village restaurant, with two friends. "She wanted a quiet dinner out with a few friends. She was in good spirits last night," a close friend of Rachel's commented. "She had fish and salad for dinner, with white wine. She was beaming and she looked relaxed and happy to be back home. She just wants to move on with her life now." (Source: Star mag)

i agree with this.

but i also think there's a market for this type of story that wasn't there before, and there are a lot less societal repercussions. i don't know much about jack, but as i understand it the media knew about jfk's flagrant, rampant adultery but did not report on it. probably out of respect for the office of pres, out of their idolatry of jfk, and probably b/c the media didn't see it as their job to be all up in people's private lives to the point that they got off on ruining someone. there was a line, i think. there's no line anymore.

back in the day, most people didn't offer up their private lives for public consumption the way people do now. jfk's hos did not go running to the press to talk about the salacious details of the affairs. it wasn't something that you did, as it there would have been a stigma attached to you. what kind of stigma is going to be attached to these women? when famous and infamous become one and the same, there is no line.

True. nod

There's no longer ethics in journalism and the line between respectable news reporting and tabloid journalism went out the window when news departments became profit centers and driven by the need to sell.

You obviously have no awareness of the celebrity mag code, gorgeous. Your bolded sentence means she's an anorexic alchoholic. Fish and salad are favourite foodstuffs of anorexics due to the quick saturation of the proteins in the initial stages of digestion - and also allows for easy regurgitation of said foodstuff without acidic bile rotting the back of her teeth. The white wine (as opposed to red) also slows down the body's breakdown of food , giving her about an hour or so to reach her hotel room and bring it all back up without raising suspicion or absorbing calories.
