Given that many a gay and bi men have come out late in life or spent the majority of their lives in the closet, I still vote he's bi. Perhaps one situation can make one bi or gay. Or even infrequent situations. Take Angelina Jolie, she's an admitted bisexual but her woman romances you could count on one hand and they have been quite infrequent. Actually, given the circumstances with your friend, I think dude's sexuality is irrelevant. No matter what he claims to be, he digs your friend and that's what is important. Plus, you can't trust what comes out of a man's mouth anyway. They all fucked up in the head when it comes to what's perceived as gay.
