Stephanie Myers is an idiot.....with millions and millions of dollars.

I didn't like the 4th book, it was too 'out there' and ridiculous. I did like the other 3 though!

so she is a dumb rich American writer with legions of loyal fans?? maybe she should run for president?

the problem is a large % of those fans are under the legal voting age give it a few years and she would be in with a chance.

Got some advice--skip all this BS--read the Anne Rice Vampire novels, this insipid stuff can't compare! razz

i am about of a third of the way through the last twilight book and it has given me such a yearning to re-read Anne Rice and remember how vampires should be imo.

i have to saw with regard to the last book, i find the Jacob imprinting thing a bit too much.

I absolutely hate the concept of these books. I haven't read them, but have no interest to read them nor see the movies based on them. lol

i've blocked that part out. i need some real vamps now like Armand.

the more thought you give twilight the more messed up it seems. it is like bella is being brain-washed into a cult or religion. so much so that she is willing to give up her fanily and friends. not healthy.

This!! Now this is what makes a Vampire!!! Thanks Wiki!

Dracula (1992)

In 1462, Vlad Dracula, a member of the Order of the Dragon, returns from a victory against the Turks to find his wife Elisabeta has committed suicide after hearing false reports of his death. Enraged at the notion of his wife being eternally damned as a suicide, Dracula desecrates his chapel and renounces God, declaring that he will rise from the grave to avenge Elisabeta with all the powers of darkness.

Jeepers creepers, y'all! I saw "New Moon" last night and I am not being rash or overly dramatic when I say that it is truly one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Even if you get past the fact that Meyers' vamps glitter, don't kill humans, and can go out in sunlight, this movie is ri-dic-u-lous!!!! I've seen better make up jobs in grade school plays. Good night! And the soundtrack sucked. And the acting sucked. And the pacing sucked. Two hours and 10 minutes of crap.

On the plus side, Bella's dad is pretty funny, there is one cool (but all too brief) underwater scene, and Robert Pattinson is dreamy.

being able to go out in the sunlight is actually closer some of the older folklore of vampires than the more modern versions.
