I just ran out to get some groceries at Kroger's and in the parking lot there were like 10 cop cars, a couple fire trucks and some other miscellaneous white vans with flashing lights. It's in a mini-mall with several other stores and the whole scene was taped off except for Kroger's. So I go in. I asked the kid pushing carts outside what was going on and he said, "something's happening at CVS." Real helpful. So I go about picking up my items and go to the U-Scan checkout. The lady who makes sure everything runs smoothly at the U-Scan and I got talking. She said there was a bomb threat and they still hadn't discovered if it was legit or not. She said that they closed down all the other businesses other than Kroger's. And I told her, "that makes ya feel real secure, huh?" We both started laughing. But it's really not very funny. If they thought there was legitimate danger, enough so to evacuate 20 some odd businesses, why would they leave the one with the most employees and customers open? Fucked up. I hope that it was a false alarm or that they disarm that thing.
