question for my bisexual sisters

Do you ever find there's any variation or fluctuation in which genders you're attracted to, or how you're attracted to them, based on the time of the month?

I don't know how long it's been going on, but I've begun to notice lately that when I'm ovulating I completely lose all interest in ladies for a few days and can only think about boning men. Which makes sense, biologically, seeing as I'm young and fertile. My body wants to get knocked up even though my mind knows it would be a terrible idea for me right now. I was wondering though if it's just me, or if this is a more widespread phenomenon?

Couldn't tell ya. I think about sex so often, it's hard to gauge, plus I live with my male sex partner so that kind of skews things.

Interesting question, though; I may start paying attention now.

God, I think about sex all the freaking time. But there is definitely 2 or 3 days out of the month when the sexytime thoughts exclusively center around males only.

I have neither the money nor the resources to conduct my own study, but I would love to see the results if one were to be done. That is, assuming social scientists will ever stop trying to prove bisexuality doesn't really exist, or that it's natural for women but nonexistent in men, or whatever the popular bullshit is this week.

Sadly, I don't think we're ready yet for any serious examination of bisexual desires as long as whatever stupid idea du jour is going to be promoted as truth without actually talking to self-identified bisexuals.

I've noticed that too, regardless of whether I'm sleeping with primarily men or women at the time. Biology's funny nod

well it makes sense biologically to want a guy around ovulation, for the sake of procreation

It fluctuates in months or years for me. Right now I don't give a shit about any women, it's about the men for me. Last year I liked the ladies and came out.

Not bi, but nosy as hell, and could ask my best friend! smile

The point you made about ovulation, though... I'm curious: doesn't that happen to all of us? When I ovulate not only does my body temperature rise like crazy, but all I can think of is getting porked. Repeatedly...and WELL.

I think guys can be affected by your ovulation cycle as well if they're around long enough. My last boyfriend used to lose his mind when I was ovulating. He stayed with me a short while while he was here on business from Japan, and being that close in proximity to an ovulating girlfriend made him sexually psychotic lol. I would be doing something in the kitchen, and he would just show up in the doorway and stare at me and say "you're fertile"...looking at me like a fat man looks at a grilled steak. Then at night he would wake me up whispering in my ear in Japanese, when I would ask him what the hell he was doing he would whisper "I'm searching for the egg...I'm looking for the egg...",

...then I kidna didn't have a choice what would happen after that innocent innocent innocent innocent

Yes, lawd...ovulation... I think your body knows... and those eggs start talking to you, Girl lol

The whole idea of having porn on my ipod sounded so cool, but in reality, I rarely if ever watch those things. lol Music videos though I do play on the train home from work fairly often.

nod Your body knows, your partner's body knows. Might as well wear a sign on your forehead. Never doubt the power of pheromones.

When I'm ovulating, I swear, I'm like a goddamned cat in heat. lol
