But he DID get married, and a lot of us think that when you pledge faithfullness in front of God, that should mean something.

Anyone that cheats on their spouse has no character and deserves no respect.

And what about everyone else that believes in the separation of church AND state?

See, right there is the real problem.

The definition of marriage is so-called "codify" in the USA as a union between one man AND one woman only. But what about some men (Tiger Woods, Bill Clinton, etc.) that knew damn good and well that they need more than one woman in their personal life?!? Hell, even the Prophets (especially Abraham, Issac, & Israel) knew damn good and well that each of them need more than one wife to have a happy sex life for themselves. Seriously!

Now don't get it twisted. All of THIS^ does not excuse Tiger for cheating on Elin behind her back by any means. As a matter of fact, Tiger was a complete idiot for not being honest with his Elin about his romantic/sexual desires before marrying her.

All I'm say is that if polygamy was ever legal, there would be no need for men to cheat and the divorce rate would be reduced.

Um er uh.... looks like you have it twisted enough, Dear.

Fuck a polygamy...no man is going to be running his penis up into my womb after ransacking through a whole bunch of other chicks loser...

...and for the love of G-d, please do not start twisting bibilical contexts to support this bullshit...please I urge you. You seriously need to go back to the old testament and re-read what and why Abram and Sarai took the path that they did, and it had jackshit to do with having a happy sex life. Start by looking up the word covenant, review how it applies to the children of Isreal, then try again confused

Anyhoo...hopefully these two folks will work out what's best for the kids and will keep it moving. bored2

here's what ho #3 says "Tiger told Kalika that married life isn’t all it’s built up to be. He said he wasn’t happy in his marriage or his home life and that there was just so much pressure on him"

rolleyes that's some bitchassness!!

Funny thing is my ex said the same thing when he got a case of the guilts about his chronic cheating habits. Almost verbatim...

I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves.

I was waiting for him to put God in it and all to make it truly special.

Seriously is there a writing class in Bitchassness 101 that makes me say this bullshit. Me....I would just have to be all bold like....see that cutie over there, Imma have to drop you now and do him. Peace out, later.

Why do people lie over some dumb shit?

OFF-TOPIC:

1. Excuse you, but Abraham's love affair with Hager was his wife/half-sister Sarah's idea. And you can not overlook the belief mentioning of Abraham's 3rd wife Keturah that used to be one of his concubines (hoes)..

2. As for Jacob (Israel), he had 2 wives (Leah & Rachel) AND 2 maid servants (Bilhah & Zilpah) that he had sexual relations with. This is exactly how he ended up having 12 sons & 1 daughter.

And yes, I know The Book Of Genesis very well. And for anyone to not think for one second that these men were not happy about the benefits of great sex with their wives really have no idea why "codify" marriage as only a union between one man & one woman is a huge mistake AND definitely not scripturally correct at all.

But all of THIS^ is another thread in P&R.
wink

BACK ON TOPIC:

I also hope that there is a way for Tiger & Elin to save their marriage. Because financially, Tiger can and will potentially get hurt badly if he lose more than half his wealth because of his cheating way.

The evidence suggests that she did went ater him with the club and smashed the back windon of the SUV. And with that said, I wonder if anyone seriously believes she should be investigated by the officials for domestic violence...or do two wrongs make a right?

No, let's charge her with whatever crimes she commited if any.

And Uptowny, if it was domestic abuse I don't think Tiger has to press charges. I could be wrong, though. I don't have time to re-read this thread but I believe the lawyer orger lol already covered the domestic abuse laws.

I don't want to judge her. I'm sure the circumstances were unbearable with the lying and the deception. I dated this guy who cheated on me. He tried to make it like I was the one who had issues... like I didn't trust him enough and was just jealous for no good reason. Turns-out, I had many reasons not to trust the guy! lol Nevermind the fact I wasn't typically a jealous type of gal.
It was really horrible, and of course we broke-up.. thank God! But for a while there I had difficult trusting. And yeah, I was so angry this guy didn't have the guts to just fess-up.. and break-up.. It's the lying and deception, reducing a gal to look through phone numbers and receipts, knowing damn good and well something's not right, but at the same time WANTING so much to believe, ya know?

At the same time, beating somebody.. I dunno. Although yeah, I could sure understand being angry. What if the situation were reversed and it was a guy who beat a woman with a baseball bat for cheating? So..

It's just a sad situation. And they've got kids.. so.. it's sad for them, too.

Dang. Tiger was busy. But what scares me. Tiger was handling 2-3, or more women, and he was still kicking butt on the golf course the last 3 years. If he can focus on 3 women and still kick ass, what is going to happen now that he only has to focus on the wife? Talk about mental toughness...dang!!!

For some reason, my first reaction is that Tiger has won his last major. I can't explain why, but I don't see this as getting the same out of Tiger if, say, people had started saying he was washed up.

I think it's going to deflate his balloon and give the other players more confidence.

And you just know that somewhere, sometime, when a tournament is on the line and Tiger's walking up 16, Anthony Kim or some other smartass is going to run the needle in Woods hard and deep.

Yeah, well like I said, I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't think hitting Tiger with a golf club--if that's what she did because I haven't been following it much--I don't think that's acceptable behavior either. shrug

Sorry.. I just don't. A lot of us women get "cheated" upon, and resorting to beating the guy with a golf club isn't the norm, I don't think.

His wife is a very pretty girl--I think prettier than the one's he's been knoodling with!

I hate to say this with children involved, but she should get a legal separation from him at least! mad Leave his cheatin' ass to knoodle on his own.

And then she should go to counseling to deal with her anger and then all of teh aftermath to follow.

OK, help an old geezer out. Here is Tiger's voice mail:

"Hey, it's Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail. Just have it as your telephone number. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye."

My experience with cell phones is that when someone calls you, their name doesn't appear on your phone unless you've made them a contact. That's how my iPhone works, and I think that was how my Verizon phone worked, too.

So am I right? Wouldn't that chick's name only appear on Tiger's phone if he had made her a contact? So then he could have erased her name, or put a fake name like "Agent" or "NBC analyst", right?

Sorry about the sex mix-up.

"Big whoop" and "no big deal" are the same to me.

When two people get married, they take a vow in front of God to be faithful to one another. It's about the most sacred promise one person can make to another.

So I think that breaking that vow is about as low as you can get, relationship-wise. And I think that anyone who cheats - who breaks their most solemn promise to God and their mate - is not trustworthy.

To me, it IS a big whoop.

Just wanted to clarify that many people who are not religious marry and it has nothing to do with God at all to them. Marriage is not about making a promise to God. It's about making a commitment to the person they are marrying.

I agree that lying to your partner is pretty low, but it's done a lot...unfortunately.

I'm just convinced that humans are not made to be monogamous - it's just a choice that is made...and unfortunately a lot of people just can't fight their natural instincts...I can understand that. It's just too bad that expectations are placed on people where they feel the only thing they can do is lie to their partners about wanting to be faithful. That's what sucks about cheating...the deceit.

Frankly if you enter into a relationship and there is no discussion of "open relationship or seeing other people from time to time" whether you opt to get married or not is irrelevant. It is assumed that you are agreeing to be monogomous. There are a boat load of folks who are not married who don't step out on each other who have been together for years.
