Let's turn the thread into a Period Thread! smile

I, for one, have to wear underwear when I've got my period cause I also wear a pantiliner with the tampon just in case of small leakages. And I don't want that on my pants/skirt.

Yeah that can be an issue. I'm lucky, my periods are pretty regular and predictable. I try to plan vacations around my periods to avoid missing out on all the fun.

Yes,me too, I'm doing that "continuous contraception" thing, where you only have a period 1X every 3 months cause you take your birth control pills without a break. It's way cool! smile

I'm jealous! only break I got was 18 months of pregnancy. The pills never worked for me.

(Oops, edit)
I've been on the pill forever, so my body got used to it right away. For some, it takes 3 months or so to get used to it.....

Answer my question Anotherlover!

Have I ever done a Sharon Stone/Fatal Attraction bit? Not intentionally, but I'm sure I've flashed some crotch accidentally. smile It's just not natural to hold your legs together for that long, they start to loosen up a lil bit, and...well... redface

It's pretty sexy to us men. Way sexier to me than just seeing a naked woman straight out.

I'm sure it is--sometimes I find it sad how easily manipulated you guys are by such things. sigh I've watched it time and time again...

Sadly, we are just men. Nothing more.

I blame society!

I'd flash ya, bkw, if you weren't married! smile

Not at all, actually. We women have way more periods than we were ever meant to have (normally, we'd be pregnant so often we wouldn't have many periods) and using the pill this way helps with preventing uterine cancer (which they think has gotten higher due to having so many periods). It's a long story, but basically they figured this out by researching the menstrual cycles of cultures cut off from modern civilization (and birth control).

Yep, it's true! And the old wive's tale about how periods "clean you out" is rubbish. When you're on the pill or the shot or any hormonal method of birth control, you're not building up the lining, so there's nothing to have a period with. It fakes your body out, making it think it's already pregnant.

PMS don't remind, I do have 2 stock up on some tampons ... Maybe I'll send my man friend 2 get them, lol

lol

Some guys act like they'd be mentally and emotionally scarred for LIFE if they had to go buy tampons or pads for their woman!

Ask a guy to pick up some female products for you and you'll discover important information about him and his personality. smile

I've done it, but i didn't like it. I will say that there were a few women who looked at me with "admiration" for having the guts to go buy them.

Well, *I* admire you for doing that for your lady! I realize it probably makes the majority of guys uncomfortable to buy those products, but believe me - most women truly appreciate that their man would be mature enough, and sensitive enough, to get past those feelings and buy that stuff if they asked/needed him to.

A guy I know said about this subject "Hey, what do I care? The people at the store know that stuff isn't for me and it shows I have a woman at home waiting for me." I thought that was cute. biggrin

I think it's worse to be a woman buying them, cause people most likely are going to be thinking "oh, she's got her period, watch out"! smile

I never looked at it that way, but i guess it's true. I just saw it as the de-masculinization(is this a word?) of a man for buying a femanine product.
