Well I am finally away from the family long enough to post. Typical funeral. "Why do we wait for a funeral to see eachother?"
"Where is cousin noname? Why is he not here? Is he mad at the family? Etc. It's the only chance I will get for a long time to see members of my family that have moved to the other side of the country. Unfortunately they had an open casket. The woman had been so ill and not eaten for so long that she was like an anorexic. Nobody in my family is an orger so I can say this. "I don't need to look at dead family members; when you told me they were dead I believed you. I didn't think that you were lying to me and were keeping her tied up in the attic like something out of Wuthering Heights.

It's amazing how many relatives you have to come to these things. I remember we had a gathering a few days after my mum's funeral and there were forty-one family members!!!!!

Why should people care what family thinks when half the time you only see these people on holidays? I wish I could take Cuz aside and tell him that. Even if you think that what he is doing is the sin of fornication, so to is his sister's sleeping with her fiance. I see double standards here. The kid is most deffinately the meek non-confrontational type that wouldn't say shit if he had a mouth full of it. His sister has the confrontational style and she said she was going to give him shit for not being there. He also has some anxiety and panic attack problems. He has been good as gold his whole life, never even drank. I think the family should cut him some slack.
