I have never heard of anyone saying "oh I already got my copy" before they see it on the newsstand. Throughout the 90s I had a subscription to Spin, Rolling Stone, and Ebony. Price, convenience and maybe timing. Also being assured no-one has thumbed through it or it's picked up diseases sitting on display. On that, who won't pick up the top newspaper in a pile, always going for the second or third one down? I see loads of people doing it. I hated the condition I received my magazines in though, once they had been curled up in my mailbox and however else to reach my hometown.

I usually see the issue on the newsstand first and then receive it in the mail a few days later. I just looked at it as a sneak preview of what's to come. I always figured that's how all publications worked. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

It should be, but it's also subject to postal laws outside of the magazine's control. If it's a regular occurrence that a magazine is on newsstands before it's in subscribers' hands, it might be a sign that they don't have the numbers to qualify for the good mailing system.

When I used to subscribe to Vibe and Travel & Leisure, my copies would always come before I saw it hit the newsstands, at least by a couple of days. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Especially if their circulation has gone down which I heard it has

I have yet to receive that one, I'm not canceling though. For me it's more about the discount & the fact that I don't have to go out & get it I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it
