Rupauls Drag Race

Did anyone watch this. Its being played in New Zealand, so no doubt its out of date. I just absolutely love it, these queens are more proud and bitchy and some of them are really interesting people. Honestly I just think they are all over the top and put Tyra in her place.
I already know Bebe Zahara won it and Nina Flowers got second, but have just finished watching the episode where Shanel voted herself off, I loved that queen, she was such an individual, and the part where she broke down and told RuPaul and the judges to stop being so bitchy towards her.
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

It was on months ago here. It's been over and done. Bebe wins, by the way.

I'm just not big with the drag thing.

Why? Does something about it bother you, or just not into it as you might not be into a type of music or movie? Not saying that you should be big on it. Just curious since you commented on not being big on it.

I don't say a lot about it because I know there are those here who have done/do it.

Not really known as its on a minor Pay TV channel called Vibe. Only 60% of the population have cable here. Its on Sunday at 7.30pm. I haven't seen it in the media, but you can watch all the backstage stuff at www.skytv.co.nz/vibe

I like it though, the drag scene is very vibrant in Auckland, a lot of our queens are Maori and Pacific Islanders. Names include Miss Ribena, Kola, Buckwheat, Bertha, Dee Za Star, Polyfilla, Ms Mole and Kornisha. We also have a queen called Shenehneh (No shit).
I can't imagine th programme has any following outside of the big cities. Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin are ok, but the rest of the country is like Iowa if you get what I mean.

I don't think saying you're not into it would make anyone who's done or does it feel bad or differently about it. We (general term) disagree on stuff constantly on this site. I was just curious as to why. Whether it was just simple taste in entertainment thing (for example, I never cared for Stripper Night @ any club I frequented, not because I have any moral objection to stripping, it just wasn't entertaining to me...I'd sooner go se a woman strip for entertainment than a dude...go figure shrug) or if it was any more than that.

So far I only like 2 of them from the new season. I can't wait until it starts.
