It's got no real theme or anything  and looks kind of unco-ordinated 
but I really like it a LOT more than my old tree, that I will give to my sister who decided she's not forking out $50-$80 for a real tree each year any more. 
Last night when I had finally finished. The kids idea of helping was throwing ornaments onto it to see if they stuck (I didn't let them do that with my precious favourite ornaments  )
this morning Max woke up and wanted the lights on 
my favourite ornament EVER!!!!   This is exactly what happens to us each xmas when we decorate our tree. Johnathan (my son) takes over and the rest is history! It's all about kids anyhow Happy Holidays ZombieKitten!  | |

Last year we hated the house we lived in so we only decorated the small white tree. I actually liked it a lot, but I had no clue I had created a sports team themed tree.

[Edited 11/29/09 19:06pm] I love Charlie Brown xmas trees, roodboi! They require very few ornaments, lights, and they're inexpensive. Proud to say I worked out a $5.00 deal on one two nights before xmas 1990 as money was a bit tight that year. It turned out to be one of my more memorable xmas' ever. Happy Holidays to you! | |

Ok, so normally I don't really decorate until Thanksgiving weekend. However, this year I'm hosting a par-tay on the 5th, for which I will be cooking (and I'm sure obsessively cleaning) the week before. So I started yesterday. One tree down, 2 to go.
This tree is in our living room: I spent this morning cleaning feathers, as at the last minute I decided to cut up a feather boa and stick the pieces into the tree. THANK GAWD I had a feather boa laying around. 
 That is gorgeous. I see you and I have similar tastes. I have the plain basic star also. Looks like you place the lights inside the branches like I do so the wires aren't visible. I like to switch themes with the trees every year too. I put up a white tree one year and a green tree the next. One year I went to an arts and crafts store in the wedding department and bought a bunch of those little doves and put them on the ends of the branches. I would kill for one of those retro silver trees though. I'd like to do one up with little miniature disco balls for ornaments. Andy is a four letter word. | |
