I think rejection is difficult in any romantic arena. shrug "Things you wish people had never said to you" thread turning into rejection from women you approached?

Sorry; I lack empathy sometimes.

I should have been more clear... I wasn't approaching her in that way at the time. We were just chatting at my friend's place after a night out and that's when she suddenly started to drop her "wisdom" on me. One of my friends was poking some fun at me, telling me to make a move on her and he said it loudly enough for her to hear. She told him to butt out and that he should be more supportive to me because I had "issues". Then she went into her big speech about my flaws.

Keep going.. and you wish this was NEVER said to you because... now... you.. what

Because while there might be some truth to what she said, she was acting like I was autistic and that she said I had nothing to offer to women was some COLD shit IMO, considering I was just talking to her as a friend and co-worker.
I had self-esteem issues already, her speech didn't exactly help me.

Not to be mean, but maybe I'm missing the irony here, and so I created a separate thread for this topic: http://prince.org/msg/100/324452

Wow...all of these mom related things. My mom said that she would've been just fine if she'd never been able to have kids. We were talking with her sisters and one of them for medical reasons can't have kids. Anyway, she said that during the conversation.

She didn't reject me at the time because I wasn't even going after her at the time. That happened later.
She did reject me later and when she did, she did it in a nice way.
Of course I should be wondering why I was even interested in a girl who said those things to me earlier.
On the other hand, when a girl says I'm an introvert who's got nothing to offer, it's not about being rejected, it's about being insulted, which is why I posted it here.

Same thing happened to me! I was physically the same size and my hair was the same length and color.

Then I gained 50 more pounds; at that point I WISHED that I looked like Rosie O'Donnell!!!

My cousins mom said she wished she never had kids...she has 3 adult kids....some people don't think before they speak...that was a horrible thing to say. That's like saying I wish you were never born.
