i bought a wii two years ago. i rarely play it now and only use it for wii fit and tiger woods golf (and the occasional spur of the moment quick game of something). if you have kids though--this is the way to go! many great sponataneous games for the family.
now that the ps3 has dropped in price, i'm gonna get one this week. it has more upside (blu-ray) than the xbox 360 to me. i don't like online gaming, so this works for me.

I have had all 3 since the day each was launched. If I had to have only 1, I'd choose the 360 in a heartbeat. The Wii doesn't get used much, I hate the PS3 controller and Xbox Live is a fantastic service. RIP

my freshman son says that most kids have the 360....only a few kids have the ps3 (expensive) and the wii is "not cool" for kids his age. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I prefer the 360 controller as well. And the only thing I like about the PS3 that the 360 doesn't have is its internet explorer function. You can purchase a PS3 wireless keyboard, and view websites like this one on a browser in the system (like IE/Firefox) when connected online via ethernet cable. But for gaming online, 360 is the one to choose. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

I posted on another recent video game thread that Project Natal might put Wii out of business next year. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

But it's funny, 'cause I am an athlete, but have never totally exhausted my arms while playing arduous sports like I have while playing a game like "Bowling" or "Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games" for Wii. These kinds of systems are fun with company, but while alone, I prefer a standard gamepad controller too. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. PS3, PS2, PSX, that's how I roll. I like Sony controllers much better. The button layout is based on the old Super NES, which is what I'm used to.

It heavier and bulkier than tthe ps controllers. Plus I've the ps1, ps2, ps3 so it is personal preference as well.

360 far and away the better machine.
The development for any high profile game is done on the 360 and then ported to the PS3 because Sony's architecture is so hard to deal with. The result is often PS3 games look and perform noticeably worse than their 360 counterparts. If you want to game and not watch Blu-Ray movies, the 360 is the way to go. As I said in another thread, the Wii is a gimmick and has become a victim of it's own success. 90% of the software is complete crap and Nintendo is hurting their signature franchises by shoehorning ridiculous motion controls just to make the game a "Wii Game". Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

I asked this question a month ago on the org and got some very valuable answers. As I already had a Blu Ray player, I opted for the Wii and couldn't be happier!!! I play Beatles Rockband hour after enjoyable hour!!! "She made me glad to be a man"

Any 360 bought now will use the "Jasper" chipset. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. Early 360's had an overheating problem that was indicated by the light rings on the front turning red. It was known as the red ring of death. Microsoft now warranties any 360 against it for 3 years. I had this problem with my early xbox, I just sent it back and got a new one free of charge within 2 weeks and I live in europe so big props for their customer service. Oh and if you are a frequent online player, for xbox you have to pay for online gaming, playstation's online service is free. But I prefer typical xbox games like Halo and gears of war above the typical playstation games (like tekken etc, japanese crap imo) [Edited 11/20/09 8:54am]
