R.I.P. Jean Claude, your art was inspiring!

From Gawker.com...

Jeanne-Claude, the wife of wrap-happy artist Christo and his artistic collaborator for more than 50 years, died from a brain aneurysm last night at the age of 74. Her favorite project, she said: "the next one."

I just saw them (Christo & Jeanne-Claude) at the Kandinsky opening at the Guggenheim a few months ago. I met them briefly once, when I worked at the Whitney Museum.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

My heart rate shot up to at least 100 when I read that title. neutral

Though I'm happy this is not about him, it's still sad to read.
