But I want to stress this is not about the merits of circumcision--this is about 'foreskin envy'.

Sounds like Bill! But yeah I would think it could be a risk factor. As the skin would hold more of the materials than would a circumcised penis. Once again a bit of soap and water would seem to wash away any lingering virus.

I've never understood why a parent would put an infant through such a procedure, I could never do that to my own child. If a man maintains good hygiene it doesn't make a difference in the end.

I have to say I have very strong opinion on this that circumcision should be illegal. It is genital mutilation to do this to someone against their will.

You should wonder, it was yours, and because of medical ignorance and/or "acceptable" religious practices it was taken away.

It disgusts me that this practice still continues.
