Interesting! I think that's such a plus that you've got such diversity. All I taught were Thais or 'luuk khreung', kids with one farang parent, who would usually be much better at English than the full Thais. I taught Europeans doing my TESOL though and the Italians, Spanish and French students were a lot of fun.

Am I the only person here finding my murdering of the queen's English in context of this conversation kind of ironically hilarious? lol

lol

It's not important.

Just promise you won't start using pigeon English on the phone to me like Voldemort does. disbelief "ok so you come my house midday na"

does that pay? eek

Well yes, I guess, through going to private chat and asking for money. I don't know quite how that would work though. It's not a site specifically for that kind of thing, but it used to be very popular here in Thailand. I used to know a bunch of people in regular rooms where we'd just chat and listen to music (I feel bad I lost touch with some people there sad ), but they also have (had) 18+ rooms. In Thailand they would boot anyone getting nakid, but there was room after room with hundreds of people in, each with maybe 50 Thai women all quite prepared to slut it up on cam, not worrying about getting booted for a quick flash. Sometimes there were no mods around. Sometimes it was kinda hot, but ultimately it just seemed weird, chatting in this main room like the old Yahoo used to be (is it still around?), people putting up comments to these girls, trying to get their attention. These girls might be sleeping while the cam was on, then later sitting there eating their breakfast, sneakily showing their bits before putting on their university uniforms and going off to study. Eventually they shut down 18+ rooms in Thailand completely, which is fairly standard with the ways of Thai censorship. We could never get other regions' rooms here but I've heard that elsewhere there are no restrictions whatsoever so it's just a free-for-all of nudity, couples having sex, masturbation and whatever people feel like doing.

A friend of mine, who I'll call Voldemort, used to go on Yahoo and MSN messenger while his wife was out or asleep and chat to Thai women he'd added in his friend list. Often university age girls, often 'high-society' types, and we'd be having a few beers and he'd boast about how quickly he could get them to strip on cam. It usually wouldn't be long. Sad, but true. I always felt kinda shit about that, I must admit. Thai women have really gotten into the whole Myspace, Facebook, messenger thing, it seems and it ain't all good.

I'm impressed though. It's up to Mon now as far as how much and when I can drink or smoke since she's handling that part of the budget. It's a good thing and I'm cutting back massively. Need to get back into swimming though!

I want to quit the smoking, but the beer just cut back. The money saving is a big part of the reason with the beer, and why I'm drinking Archa (29.5 baht) as opposed to the already cheap Singha (46 baht) lol it's so much more beer for your money!

I didn't know if all this was boring, or just really tame, but I do find it weird too. I'm definitely not the biggest porn fan, I'm sure, but the whole voyeuristic nature of Camfrog fascinated me. I mean, don't get me wrong, in theory it was pretty fucking hot that these were just public rooms, out in the open, where you could click any name in the list and see these normal, everyday young Thai girls in various states of undress. Part of what saw me going to those 18+ rooms was just how bizarre it was when you thought about it more. These are supposedly good girls, educated girls, from good, wealthy families, who you see all over Bangkok (and you're thinking, is she going back home from uni to strip on Camfrog? lol ), doing everyday stuff on cam, but then having a strip before going about their normal daily activities. The same girls would be on there day after day. After a while it lost its interest from a porn point of view, but I still find it fascinating even though I stopped going there ages ago (which I'm bummed about over losing the online friends I mentioned before). Mon didn't think anything of it. She told me that these days it's very popular for these rich university girls to do prostitution on the side while they're studying, even though they've already got more money than most Thais, and they use these kinds of sites to find those 'opportunities'.

The camfrog thing reminds me of being able to walk into a shopping centre in Bangkok and just being able to point at any girl and say 'I want to see her in a bikini' or 'her I want to have just a towel on and for it to slip' and it just happening. lol I've known some of these girls, through the friend I mentioned, and I still don't quite 'get' the whole thing, but it sure is interesting.

Why? Because of smoking? Or because I drink cheap beer? Dude, Aksel doesn't want for bahts but that guy drinks Chang and Singha. Look at Charlotte, she's doing great for herself and she's drinking some nasty ass Aldi beer.

Archa's actually not too bad. It's not my first choice here (Corona), or even second (Asahi), third (Singha), or fourth (Singha Light) but it might be my fifth. lol

A lot of Thai Buddhist laypeople do actually formally give up drinking alcohol for 3 months every year. I think Dan's just giving up drinking for the moment. And laying people.

Dan has a schedule of things he's giving up. For January is toxins, February is haircuts, March is sex, April is drugs...November is obviously drinking.

But he's always over-indulging in at least 11 things at a time.
