Actually, looking back I didn't say "hip hop" I said videos PERIOD and I ONLY mentioned videos in relation to rehearsal time, but limited rehearsal is pretty UNIVERSAL in the dance world if you hire dancers of any kind to perform by a certain date. That's just how it is. Seven days is a LONG time. But I see you're STILL not acknowledging the fact that these specific dancers are well trained in various styles and have in fact been dancing MOST of their lives which I already knew without researching. The choreographer charged with rape:
"Alex Da Silva, a Brazilian-born salsa dancer who has choreographed several numbers for Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, was taken into police custody in L.A. I'd say he is my all time fav from that show. Mine too.  He's one the best male ballet and ballroom dancers I've ever seen on TV.
(Plus, since Danny was so very handsome and seemed kinda bashful, I had a serious crush on him.  ) Haven't seen him in anything since that season though. He does stage and Broadway shows, but I thought he would become really famous, and maybe do dance films or join the crew for "Dancing With The Stars" or something.
