Ira, Your CD Player Hates Prince! What Speaker System Can I Get 4 My Computer So P Doesn't Sound Like He's In a Tin Can? For all of you computer experts--I need some help! LOL My Sony 5 Disc Player for my stereo (which my X left me with) gave out and tried to eat my Prince CDs I just bought! What are some good state of the art speaker systems I can buy for my desk top computer system--PC--so Prince's music doesn't sound like it is reverberating in a tin can! Please, give advice, if you have some! In the meantime, I'll do my due diligence with on-line research, but could sure use advice from experts!  | |

moderatorI just have this Microlab subwoofer/amplifier and small speakers. Same thing connected to my TV but with a bigger subwoofer. Not brilliant, but awesome for the $40 I paid for the smaller setup and $60 for the bigger.

Thanks so much! How is the sound quality of your speaker system? What I want to avoid is the "tinny ringing" effect when the bass on a guitar and other instruments are played--esp. when it comes to Prince! How is the sound on your system? Mine is really awful  | |

Thanks so much! How is the sound quality of your speaker system? Mine is really awful It's very good for the price, but in relative terms, mediocre. I've had excellent separates systems in the past though and I'm happy with how these sound. p.s. I have no idea where these are made though. I bought mine at Pantip Plaza in Bangkok, a tech mecca. I have no idea if they're a known brand or not, local or international. I think I'm limited to what I can get from a "Brick and Mortar" store like Best Buy or on line, so I'll do my research but I sure appreciate the feedback!  | |
