Lawyers are known to pad their bills. So if a lawyer gives you a bill just divide it by 3 and that is your actual bill. You have to negotiate it down. Those effing bastards. | |

Do you defend him? if he has a flat-out fee dispute he can address that through the proper channels. if he feels his fees are unreasonable he could work with the law firm to arrange a plan/reduction in the fees. not many law firms would take him as a client over this dispute, but some would. it is amazing how many people make a nig mess in their lives, need legal help to contain the mess, hire attorneys to help clear it up, then refuse to pay for services rendered. | |

By 10. not many people out there are rendering services at or just above cost...so why single out lawyers?? the smart thing to do would be to discuss AND understand how fees are calculated before service is rendered...most people are too lazy to do so, this seems especially true with wealthy people that tend to pay everyone for everything... of course, folks could just represent themselves for all legal matters and see how far that gets them... it's just a matter of using common sense and due diligence...the victim role by consumers/clients/patients, etc. gets old after awhile... | |
