Unfortunately, as this thread shows, we are taught
how we are supposed to feel in certain situations,
instead of being allowed to express whatever we
feel without judgement. It's great that you've
chosen to own your feelings, instead of trying to
cover them up and pretend to feel something you
don't.

If less time was spent pretending to feel something
we don't, or conversely, pretending NOT to feel when
we do, there would be a lot less emotional hang-ups
in the world.

Hopefully, in time, you'll come to grips with the
entire situation. It just happened this morning.
Give yourself some time to sort through everything,

No it does not make you a bad person. You have not seen him in 10years so you really are not close or are not emotionally close to your cousin. It is a sad thing your cousin chose to deal with problems. Now do not feel guilty.
