I have a question... what is the difference in appearance between Thai and Chinese men? Both tend to have full lips? Both can be in a range from pale to cinnamon, both can have wide to slim noses. Both can posses great facial structure, physically speaking, how does one tell the difference? I know the cultural differences, but you can just look at a guy and tell straight away whether he is Chinese, or Thai?  OK, after having been here a few months now, I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that I can spot the Chinese guys out right away. The faces are different. Thais have fuller lips, a bit larger eyes, and normally button noses. THere are 'Chinese' Thais, but they often mixed, and the ones that aren't have a certain Thai 'look' abou their presentation. It's hard to describe. I don't think westerners would spot it--we all look the same to them. | |

It's just a matter of exposure. I work in a language school and we get Chinese, Japanese, Koreans and Thais - after working here for a bit, the differences become more apparent. I had the same experience with Italian, Spanish, Portugese etc. | |

It's amazing the difference though, not just in appearance but in regards to EVERYTHING, that the distinction is made between Thai and Thai Chinese, when all we're really talking about is coming from China a few generations earlier or later (plus there's making sure you don't sully the 'Chinese' in you in the case of some Thai-Chinese when it comes to finding a suitable partner - that keeps skin and features 'pure' and 'clean'  ). There are virtually no native Thai ppl living in Thailand.  MY COUSIN WORKS IN A PHARMACY AND SHE SAID THEY ENEMA'D PRANCE INTO OBLIVION WITH FENTONILS!! | |
