Tell me about your plans this year, will you be with family or go it alone? Just curious how other's celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
I will celebrate a traditional dinner with my extended family (20) which includes my husband, 4 kids, 2 sisters, their spouse, their kids, by brother, and my Aunt. We will celebrate in my home this year, which is making me jumpy because there is always so much to do before hand to prepare. It's fun and exciting, very expensive and a lot of work!! I will be needing a few of these to get me through it. What about you?

another thing making me jumpy, we just remodeled our home a few months back, and everything is shiny and new.....how do I keep my little niece and nephew from wiping their turkey/gravy/mashedpotatoed hands, off my walls!!!

This reminded me to call my family.

I have no idea what I'm doing. We do the same thing every year, but I haven't talked to anyone to find out if that's still the plan or what.

looks like i'll be home alone..which isn't a bad thing.
my sister and her kids are going to her dumb boyfriend's parent's house. my other sister is staying home, this will the first time 40 years in this house that there won't be a thanksgiving dinner. it is true what they say, death kills a family. my mom must be so disappointed in heaven

It'll be just me and the cat. Same for Christmas.

My family asked me if they could come over to my place for a change since I never invite anyone over. I told them they could if they bring all the food. They agreed.

Thankfully, having 4 of my own kids...I was quick and diverted them to the patio with the crayons.

We'll be in Ohio and apparently I'll be driving a car pool of my relatives down from Cleveland to Akron, where my cousin will host the holiday dinner, etc. for the first time ever. She's normal... but her immediately family -- my aunt and other cousins -- ain't. Should make for an interesting holiday.

We do the whole playing charades, kinda deal. Thanksgiving and Christmas are they only time we actually play charades, I guess after a few everyone is willing.

There ya go!! My two nieces have a beautiful home they bought together, it's huge! Neither of them could boil an egg, so when they invite us over, we bring the food and they provide the house and

oohh geezz..and I just remembered about 5 years ago, we had a grease fire in our oven on Thanksgiving!! My Aunt, who is much too old to try and adjust a turkey in the oven...spilled some of the turkey juice, when she was basting the turkey..dear god it started a fire in my oven! I was in the back yard, getting more chairs from the garage, when I hear my then 7 year old scream "Mom the turkey's on fire!!!"
I walk in and my oven is smoking big time, my fire alarm in the kitchen is going off like crazy..and my brother takes out the turkey and places on the stove. Meanwhile, he managed to spill more juice on the oven floor..never mind my floor..black smoke is coming out the front door...

Please god please...no more drama with the turkey this year.

i have to work from 9-2....mom in law is making the turkey and bringing it over...my mom makes some sides...we make the stuffing and dessert..my sis is going to her inlaws this year so it will be 8 of us. it means alot of cleaning straightening up, for a 1 hour meal, then 2 hours of after cleaning up...but the amount of thanksgivings we'll have together is limited realistically, as my folks are in their 80's and my father in law is 92....so we'll happily take on the mess

I will be working from 8-4:30. DOUBLE TIME! I cant say no to that!
Afterwards dinner with some fam!

My birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year and I ain't cookin' shite....

Hell, I don't even have a cat.

I'll probably either go to Picadilly or Shoney's and get some turkey and dressing. Then, it'll probably be either me and the TV or me and the org.
