I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I might go and see it tonight. I went to see Inglorious Basterds the other week over here. Mostly all in German with Korean subtitles underneath. Nightmare!

Nice cameo's ....

Great special effects...could have been darker though...they put in too much of that happy-hollywood bullshit for me.

LONG ass movie...2:30 mins long, but feels longer.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

After War Of The Worlds with Tom Cruise, I don't know if I need to see another "disaster movie" this decade.

Stood in a long effing line and was hoping it was worth it. It was good and the FX were awesome. CG getting better all the time. And I love Thandie Newton and Chiwetel Ejiofor, but I wouldn't stand in line to see it again.

I don't know, Gray. shrug But this is one that should be seen on a big screen to appreciate the fx. The last movie I stood in line for was The Matrix, and it was well worth it. Not saying this is a bad movie, and the CGI is among the best this year. But we've seen the plot before. The CGI is what makes it different.

2012 was not bad. kind of predictable, kind of trite. no great message to impart except, maybe, let's treat each other with compassion.

BUT the special effects were awesome!!!! tidal wave hitting mt. everest..... eek

Agree to both. I think the thing that lessened my experience was the long line, the wait, and then with a sold out movie, you have to hear babies crying and sit next to people who elbow you. Plus, when my daughter and I were standing in line, we noticed that the girl who takes the tickets was randomly checking purses for illegal snacks. We watched though as she let this guy walk right through with his kids and he was carrying a freakin; ALDIE'S bag and had a backpack on. The sign said specifically..NO BACKPACKS! She didn't say a word to him. Then she asks my daughter to check her purse. My daughter, said, "I wish like hell I'd let you look in my bag when you just let that guy with groceries walk right in!!" lol

I thought it was pants I'm afraid...obviously you don't watch it for realism but when it's SOOOOO flawed you start to mock even the smallest detail....like the very end = no safety railings smile
