I'm just telling the truth. I am not a dog hater. As a matter of fact, I have 3 dogs, and they act the same whether I go to the store or out of town....  Maybe they're not that excited to see you.

  My dogs are the same way too when I go away on a trip. They also don't eat the first day or two while I'm away. When I return, they've been know to do the "submissive urination" which is a way to show deferrence to the Alpha dog in our pack (me).
Also, when my Marley died this year, it took at least a month for Prince to stop following me to the garage looking for me to be bringing Marley home and he was clearly depressed and missing Marley and laid in Marley's bed for HOURS every day and would try to fight Cowboy if he got in Marley's bed.
