It's been a steady stream of injuries all season, but yesterday that shit went on hyperdrive, especially for QBs. disbelief That Stafford kid showed major heart only to have to miss Thursday's game.

Kick their ass, Vince! dancing jig

Yeah and GB lost two defensive starters, that might've been a good game. But it won't now..Vince can have a good game, but I need Houston to win this one..lol

Yesterday was quite calamitous! lol

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Fabian Washington(notes) is expected to miss the remainder of the season after hurting his knee during Sunday’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts.“It looks like he has an ACL tear. As of right now, we’re proceeding as if he’s done for the season,” coach John Harbaugh said Monday.

A day later, Perry Fewell shuddered when recalling how difficult it was seeing Bills rookie guard Eric Wood(notes) writhing in pain on the field after breaking two bones in his left leg. Forget the 18-15 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday, Wood’s devastating injury was not how Fewell wanted to remember his debut as the Bills interim head coach.

Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt says he had a long talk with Kurt Warner(notes) on the flight home, and the quarterback was “very upbeat and alert” following a blow to the head in Sunday’s’ victory over St. Louis.

St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger(notes) will be sidelined 3-6 weeks with a fractured left leg sustained in Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

During a news conference in which he discussed three more season-ending injuries and revealed discouraging news about three other players, Washington Redskins coach Jim Zorn was hit with a coughing fit. He needed a drink to help him continue. “Sorry about my voice,” he said. Maybe it’s time to put some bubble wrap around this team. No one, it seems, is safe. lol

Add Ladell Betts(notes), Chad Rinehart(notes) and Eddie Williams(notes) to the injured reserve list. Also, don’t expect Clinton Portis(notes) to return from his concussion for at least one more game and maybe two. Chris Cooley(notes) won’t even get out of his walking boot for another 10 days, and DeAngelo Hall(notes) has a sprained knee that could cause him to miss this week’s game.

Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Charlie Batch(notes) injured his left wrist after replacing Ben Roethlisberger(notes) during an overtime loss in Kansas City and could miss the rest of the regular season.

Batch was hurt despite playing only four plays in the Steelers’ 27-24 loss— his first game action since 2007. He is expected to undergo surgery later this week to repair the wrist and miss approximately six weeks. Batch sat out last season with a broken collarbone.

Really, WTF is this shit??? whofarted

Exactly!

I never gave up hope on Vince, I think he was just feeling so much pressure from winning the championship at UT then immediately being put in the savior role for the Titans. He was only 21 and caved under the pressure. But his skills as a QB were never in doubt in my mind. Above all, he's a winner and a competitor and that goes a long way. I think that's Tony Romo's biggest problem, he ain't never won shit and ain't got no damn heart.

I am happy for Vince Young but there is no way he's going to win a championship throwing like a girl. Shame on Tennessee if they get 2+ scores behind in a game, because VY cannot throw the deep ball with that motion.

Then again, if you've ever seen the Astros' Hunter Pence throwing motion, you'd never believe he could hit 40 mph on the radar gun, but he's kind of got a cannon.

Good coaches don't design plays 2 a player's weaknesses. They should have plays drawn up that take advatage of what Vince CAN do if they get down by 2 scores.

lol Well throwing like a girl already got him a national championship and has him undefeated in last 7 or 8 starts so I'm not worried about his technique. He had a good night. But ya'll might wanna invest in a new kicker and with all them dumb penalties you guys looked almost as bad as the Cowboys. lol

The early success of Big Ben, Matt Ryan & Joe Flacco have fans spoiled. Those guys are the exception, not the rule. NFL QB is the hardest job in pro sports. It's takes years to fully learn the position, and every QB(including the great ones) experiences growing pains. Mark Sanchez is finding that out. He started out 3-0, and fans were calling him "The Sanchise". Now he can't do anything right(9 fumbles/16 INTs), the NY media's on his case, and some teammates are throwing him under the bus. Welcome to the NFL.

Exactly! Vince was expected to take them to the Superbowl in his first season cuz he was so hot in the championship game. That's some unfair pressure especially since he was actually very successful in his first season. Wasn't he rookie of the year? That was a lot of preassure coming in the league.

According to Phil Simms, it takes anywhere from 3-5 years for a young QB to 'get' the NFL. Phil said he finally adjusted to the league in his 6th year.

And most of the greats sat on the bench for 2-3 years or sucked BAD if they played right away. Look at Troy Aikman, he was 0-11 his first season. shake

Vince actually played better than most initially.

He's still a better option than Kerry Collins and it shouldn't have taken 6 losses and the owner to get Jeff to start him. That drive yesterday was the best of his career and a hint of things to come. dancing jig

His head seems to have caught up with his talent. Maybe now Vince understands what it takes to be a successful NFL QB.

Do Jeff Fisher and the Titans front office still think Vince is the future? Remains to be seen.

See, that's not clear but something makes me think that the owner does and Jeff maybe on his way out. There's a clause in his contract that says the owner cannot override any of his decisions or something like that. So I think Jeff can opt to bounce. hmmm

Browns place Lewis on IR, a sad end to RB’s career

BEREA, Ohio (AP)—Jamal Lewis(notes) has plowed into the line for the last time.

Cleveland’s punishing running back, who announced last month that he planned to retire following this season, was placed on injured reserve Wednesday with post-concussion symptoms, a premature and unceremonious ending to his illustrious NFL career.

Coach Eric Mangini, who declined to mention Lewis’ injury in two news conferences this week, said the decision to put Lewis—and safety Brodney Pool(notes) — on IR came after consulting with the club’s medical team.

Like I've been saying the Cowboys ain't shit and I refuse to get excited when they win. The holes in their game are big enough to drive a Mack thru. Inconsistent bastids! hmph!

Cowboys: CHARGERS, at Saints, at Redskins, EAGLES

Eagles: at Giants, 49ERS, BRONCOS, at Dallas

Giants: EAGLES, at Redskins, PANTHERS, at Vikings

Lots of football to be played. NFC East is up for grabs.

Totally nod But I see the Eagles coming out on top, they're the most consistent IMO
