11-year-old gives birth to baby girl after going into labor at her WEDDING!

An 11-year-old girl became one of the world's youngest mothers - after she went into labor at her wedding.

Kordeza Zhelyazkova, from Sliven, Bulgaria, was still wearing her wedding dress and tiara when she was rushed to the hospital, where she gave birth to a 5-pound, 8-ounce girl.

"I'm not going to play with toys anymore - I have a new toy now," Kordeza told reporters as she showed off little Violeta.

Kordeza - who got pregnant two weeks after her 11th birthday - told the News of the World: "It feels strange...now I must grow up. I am not going back to school."

The baby's 19-year-old dad, Jeliazko, met Kordeza when he rescued her from bullies in the playground.

"I was walking past the school when I saw some boys mocking her and I told them to leave her alone," he said. "Then she arranged to meet me and asked me out on our first date.

"We didn't plan to have sex or a baby, although I fell in love with Kordeza the moment I saw her," Jeliazko said.

But within a week, Kordeza was pregnant - and Jeliazko was facing six years in jail for having sex with a minor. The age of consent in Bulgaria is 14.

"I thought she was 15," he said. "She didn't tell me she was 11. I was really scared."

"I didn't want to say in case he wouldn't fancy me," Kordeza confessed.

"I didn't know I was pregnant until my grandmother saw I had put on weight," she added. "I just thought I'd eaten too many burgers."

"It's normal for our girls to have babies young," said Kordeza's grandmother Dida, 55. "It's our tradition. But I didn't want it for my Kordeza - I felt she was too young."

The family planned a three-day Roma wedding so Kordeza and Jeliazko could be married before the baby arrived.

But Kordeza went into labor on the second day. "I had been having pain in the morning and a couple of hours into the wedding, it got worse."

She was rushed to hospital and gave birth 20 minutes later.

"It was quite easy but painful, too," she said. "I was very happy when I saw her. She has a nose like me and hair like Jeliazko."

Violeta's grandmothers will be her guardians, and Kordeza and her daughter will receive about $115 a month in state benefits.

That's messed up she is still a child, and he is a paedophile. I wonder where her parents or guardians were throughout this courtship? It's difficult to understand why an 11 year old would want to have sex when she should be concentrating on being a kid and the bigger picture ahead.

Her grandmother pretty much says it all in her statement about the females in their family having babies at a young age. It appears to be part of their culture and upbringing. This girl has given up on school and probably was being picked on (sexually harrased is more like it) because of he way she looks. The girl confesses to eating too many cheeseburgers and we now know that growth hormones in foods affect your children as well, which is why girls are getting periods and developing body fat at younger ages. This guy who had the audacity to sleep with her after only a week of knowing her is a bit of a sleaze and I bet this wedding was shot gun style. I feel sorry for the child. She will probably share the same fate as her mother and it doesn't help that her child mother views her as a "new toy."

As raging as my hormones were, I still knew I had to wait until I was much older to have sex. Why didn't he say no thank you when she asked him out on the date? Can't blame hormones on this one completely. Jeez...just...wow.

A girl getting pregnant at the age of 11 is the direct result of a very low sense of self esteem on her part.

Her parents are to blame for not teaching that girl to love herself enough to even tell a guy "No" and that guy knew it. He prayed on her lack of self esteem and thrives off of her devotion to him.

Add to that this girl has the body of a damn 18yr old and in the 5th grade she may even feel awkward around kids half her size and she may want to seek kids her size.... even act like them in order to do so.

How do I know? My sister had a baby 3 months after turning twelve back in 1982.
My sister was one year older than me and my niece is 11 years my junior.
I helped raise my niece, and I SEEN this type of thing happen live and in color. My sister was grown as hell, made to baby sit us all the time and never allowed to act her age.

This is what you guys don't understand... my sister was 11 but she acted, walked and talked like she was 18. Her friends were 15-18. She dated older boys.
Got her period when she was 8. She was just on a different learning curve.

The ONLY thing that was 11 about my sister was her lack of understanding and acknowledgment on consequences to her reckless behavior . She had no concept of what could really happen to her, she was free, and reckless and people told her she was smart. She was, she won multiple awards and was always an honor student. So she thought she was "smart" since she always had straight A's.

Educated doesn't = smart and young in age doesn't = innocent. This is a perfect example.

sometimes I share too much... but oh well, its the truth.

BTW, my sister is a well traveled successful educated business women despite having had a child as a child. Go figure.

I don't know what to say...the girl is confused....the guy is sick...If I found out I was pregnant at that age..I would have killed myself or got an abortion. I was into cartoons and just being innocent. Seems the girl doesn't think much of it, they were married..parents probably didn't care.

but the gist of it was that U.S. culture is different and newer than these older cultures and the two views on the morality of the situation are completely different. it seems a bit unnatural to me that women would wait until they are too old and unfit physically to have a child to say the least. communities/ families took care of children and some cultures still do unlike the here in the U.S.

I have an 11 year old who is so not ready for anything...not boys...not dating...certainly not sex and babies? wtf!

I know they grow up different in different parts of the world...she certainly doesn't look like she is 11 but come on....where the fuck would an 11 year old be without her parents knowing..I know where my kids are at all times...

My niece got pregnant at 12 in Ohio...she had her FIRST baby at 13...I hate this shit...
