I have gotten those calls before (not for me) and called to say this is not the right number, etc. They then stop calling, although I have gotten more calls months later--but by then I can never remember if it's the same company calling or a new one. Regardless, I always call the number and tell them to remove my phone number and it at least works for a while.

I would call them back and tell them you are not the person they are looking for, and if they don't stop calling you are going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the FCC(?). Also, try to call your telephone company and see if they can block the number. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

My 80 year old aunt who lives with us, but has her own land line...get's these calls all day long, for someone else. She has no credit cards in her name any more, she has no bills except for her land line and her hair appts, to get that old lady hair look, she is so fond of.
They are calling at all times, she is so goofy that she will actually have conversations with them, in Spanish no less....

1) Tell them to take your number off their list;
2) Put call block on them; 3) If all else fails get a new number. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

I've had that happen. It's good you're calling a lawyer. I've actually called the company back and asked to talk to someone in charge to remove my number. Oddly, it's usually people calling my cell phone. I NEVER give that number out, but whoever had it before must have not paid their bills. Eventually they did stop calling. You really have to be a hard ass w/ these people when it's not you they want (yet they don't know that).
