Oh crap! I bet FOX News runs this as an Al Qaeda sleeper cell agent trying to strike terror into our own military. We may never know his full motivation, but considering that the shooter was a psychologist who was treating returning soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital, he probably saw the most intense psychological damage up close and didn't want to be deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. My guess is that he probably snapped and went psycho. My heart goes out to the wounder victims and the families of the fallen soldiers.

I just got in from a conference in Plano. I live in Killeen, and come from a long line of Army. My grandfather served, father served, and my younger brother currently serves. My brother is stationed on Fort Hood and has served three tour in Iraq. He and his family is fine. I work for Killeen ISD and we have several schools on Fort Hood. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the children, spouses, and soldiers who serve our country. There is a call for blood now, I plan to donate tomorrow. I encourage everyone to continue to support our troops. They need us. We are a nation at war and not a nation with a military at war. I am in shock as my family. This is the largest military installation in the free world. I call it and Killeen home. Absolute MADNESS!!!!

what is he saying??? He was talking about the negative impact of multiple deployments on soldiers, families and the community and that what they're experiencing stress-wise is like nothing we've ever seen before. He said that this is all about politics rather than helping the soldiers. That's what I mean, he don't give a fuck he gon' speak his mind. He's not one to toe the line.

Damn it seems like the U.S. has been going through some shit with bad news the past couple of weeks. First the missing college girls, then the 15 year old who was gang raped, then the sex offender who had all these dead bodies in his home, now this tragedy. When will it all end!!!!! I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

What does one have to do with the other? The fact that two events occur does give rise to causality. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

SCNDLS said: nurseV said: It's interesting that a tragedy like this occurs just as the President is going to deploy more troops
I need him to do what he said he'd do. Deploying more troops isn't changing a thing. I think Texas has lost more troops than any other state. I can't even watch the news cuz everyday they talk about another local kid 18, 19, 20 years old killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. Obama is doing what he said he's going to do. He's going to get out of Iraq and fight the war where we've been loitering about. The war he committed to ending has pretty much ended. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I don't know, Richard. I guess because if you are on foreign soil you know you may die and you know you are risking your life. You shouldn't have to worry about that on your own home base with your own fellow soldiers. Just in Any City, USA . . . ? I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

SCNDLS said: SupaFunkyOrgangrinderSexy said: before everyone starts freaking out on me, I'm just making an observation. Why do we assume the violence inside a soldier stops because they are home? This is a bigger problem than the media will portray it as. If this individual was so stressed out and SPENT in this Iraq/Afghanistan experience that this is what he turned to, our military and civilian leaders need to think about what is really happening to our soldiers. They are not robots but we expect them to coast through all situations as if they arent' human.
I hear what you're saying but do we even KNOW that he's been to Iraq before? And I think it has been reported that these soldiers need a lot of support when they return and they're trying to give it to them. I just don't think the resources are there to really make a difference. I just want the gov't to cut their fucking losses and stop sacrificing our young men and women for a futile cause. I have friends that have done 3-4 tours. Bring them home, NOW! Until Barack keeps his promise on this issue I ain't checking for shit else he's got to say. That does nothing to make this country safer. Afghanistan is not futile but it will take work. Obama's biggest problem in Afghanistan, which no one is talking about is what to do about Karzai. He needs to go. If we engineer his replacement, we are then reliving Vietnam. Obama needs to deploy more troops but that is going to come across on the local level as using force to prop up a corrupt government. I think that's why it's taking so long for him to craft a strategy. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.
