My mum stayed home until we all started school but her hours were quite flexible. I preferred having my mum around to my father. As for when I procreate, ideally I would take the first year off work and then return to work on job share basis or part time with the airlines. I would also continue to run my own business as well to continue my comfortable lifestyle.
