are we talking about a sprint or long-distance? Sprint. Say 100m. I raced our dog down the street the other day and was surprised to find I've still got it.

Yeah, the long legs definitely help. I wonder what I could run these days though. I ran 11.7 for the hundred when I was 14, but they canceled athletics at our school and I was too shy to stick at the local club I briefly went to. I'm not nearly as fit as I was as a kid running around all day with all that effortless energy kids have, but I'm now a grown man. I imagine I'd be about the same now as back then. One thing I love is running barefoot on wet sand. It's so springy, you feel like you're just bounding along. . [Edited 10/30/09 18:08pm]

I'm fairly fit, but I am emphatically not a runner.
I'm built for comfort, not speed. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I can walk round the block without getting out of breath
If i'm walking its cool, but don't do running and sports... my balance leaves a lot to be desired! JaneyPoos used to be it... then they changed what it was. Now what I am isn't it and what is it is strange and frightening to me...

Big Wow. Right! 'Wow' would be running round the block to get away from the police after having sex with a Brazilian girl.
