If it was me I would just like to be put in a white sheet and buried in the ground so I could give back to the soil. But I don't think that's legal. So light the pyre.

I understand they now have caskets at Wal-Mart on-line for under $1000 so I guess I'll go with burial.

I don't know...what ever is cheaper I guess, I have a fear of waking up in a coffin and waking up when about to get cremated.

eek see this is why I think there is a certain amount of time that they wait before actually doing anything, they better make damn sure I'm dead or I'm going to be pissed. lol

lol I guess it's because of what I've seen in movies...I know in these times they make sure you are dead, but it's just a scary thought I have.

I used to have that same fear about burial or cremation. But while the embalmer pumps your blood out they pump in fromaldyhyde into your body.

A green burial seems the most eco-friendly, but aside from my wife, I can't see ANYONE in my family being cool with that. Cremation is the next best option that won't actually stir up a bunch of crap among them.

It's legal depending on your locale. Check out these sites:

I've signed up to have my body sent to Emory University. I'd like to claim nobility, but the truth is I'm cheap all the way to the grave, and you can't get much cheaper than free body disposal. The only cost will be the cost of transporting my body there which has already been tentatively arranged for around $250. They could use me as a comedy prop for all I care. I'll be busy being dead.

My Dad told me that a long time ago when people use to get buried alive, that they would put a bell in the casket,so that if they had actually been buried alive they could ring the bell, and get help out. eek

Burial. My Sister was cremated last year. Made me sad to think of her in an oven then grinding up her bones.
