If it was me I would just like to be put in a white sheet and buried in the ground so I could give back to the soil. But I don't think that's legal. So light the pyre. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

I understand they now have caskets at Wal-Mart on-line for under $1000 so I guess I'll go with burial. All good things they say never last...

I used to have that same fear about burial or cremation. But while the embalmer pumps your blood out they pump in fromaldyhyde into your body. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! A green burial seems the most eco-friendly, but aside from my wife, I can't see ANYONE in my family being cool with that. Cremation is the next best option that won't actually stir up a bunch of crap among them. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

It's legal depending on your locale. Check out these sites: http://www.greenburialcouncil.org/ http://www.naturalburial.coop/ Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I've signed up to have my body sent to Emory University. I'd like to claim nobility, but the truth is I'm cheap all the way to the grave, and you can't get much cheaper than free body disposal. The only cost will be the cost of transporting my body there which has already been tentatively arranged for around $250. They could use me as a comedy prop for all I care. I'll be busy being dead. buried - quiet funeral - no flowers - but afterwards have a big party
on my gravestone will be the immortal words "See ya later" "I may not agree with what you say but I'll fight for your right to say it"
