Man, I need a haircut!

How long do you go between getting haircuts? What do you usually ask for when you go to the hairdresser? Do you do your own barnet yourself?...

I go get a haircut when I absolutely can't stand my hair anymore. I have a stylist in the family so I get my hair done on the cheap... woot!

I usually ask for a shape up and long layers and b/c you're a Brit I've no idea what you're asking in the last part of your question.

Oh, then no I don't do my own hair. My boyfriend's dad is a stylist so he does my hair. He's good and I get it for free.

About every 7 or 8 weeks, I guess. My hairdresser knows how I have it by now, just trimmed down on the sideburns and back of the head to about grade 2 I suppose and then longer on top. Classic short back and sides really, but not much difference in length from shortest to longest.

Get it cut about every three months, always ask for three inches off and layers, trim on the bangs as well

About once a month.
Kinda growing the top out some so I just ask that it's layered/texturized (I have fine hair).
The sides must ALWAYS get buzzed down to about a #3 on account that one side curls up and out and the other one does whatever it feels like. mad

Ya, stylists never listen to me so I never end up getting what I want. So I'll get it cut then touch it up myself for as long as I can. I just have long layers, it's not a complicated cut to do.

Erin's got tons and tons of really thick hair, though, which I think makes it a little easier to do that and have it not look like crap. I could be wrong. But I'm guessing thick, wavy hair is a bit more forgiving than fine, thin hair (like mine mad) I need to go to the damn stylist every 8 weeks or I start looking like a piece of shit. Of course, I can only afford to go once every few months, so half the time I look like a piece of shit. sad

For sure. Long, thick hair can be very forgiving when it comes to not so professionally done cuts.

But I will say that I have become a master at perfecting the side swept bang - I even cut my friends bangs.
