I hope you feel better soon! What are the symptoms and how do you feel while having it?? I had west nile and if its ANYTHING like that im outta here!! lol

I set out this morning to get my shot. The clinic opens at noon, it's now 11 a.m., and there is already a two-hour wait. I've been in line for only about 10 minutes, and in that short time about 100 people have arrived behind me. Folk are clearly pretty anxious about this.

I'm told the techs are shooting people only at an average of about 18 per hour. (I'm not sure how many techs there are.) It's gonna be an interesting afternoon.

can you explain what this was like? I swear I had to have had the swine flu but when I went to the doctor they only tested for Influenza A & B but I'm telling you I was so sick I missed 2 weeks of work!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'm starting to feel much better today. I still feel tired and run down and I still have a lot of congestion, but the body aches and headache are gone.

My symptoms were/are:

Headache
Congestion in sinuses
Body aches
Extreme fatigue
Slight fever (100.5)
Cough

These are the same symptoms as the regular flu. I know that many people are testing positive for swine flu even without a fever (which I didn't have for 2 days). So, if it walks like a duck....

ive had my swine flu shot (free from the govt ...and reg flu shot not free )

Fortunately, I don't get that sick very often, but I remember getting the flu about 12 years ago that smacked the crap out of me. I got a headache, fever, chills, coughing that wouldn't let up for hours, which contributed to some severe body aching. That was followed by serious bronchitis (pneumonia?) where my lungs go so filled with mucus that I had difficulty breathing and could not breathe at all if I lay down. I remember literally having to sleep sitting down om my couch for three nights straight because trying to lay down would make me suffocate. Though I got over the most serious symptoms after a week and a half, I was dealing with the flu for about a month.
