In today's world, everybody seems to be hating on each other & themselves. There are people killing themselves to look like girls in magazines, who look nothing like that in real life anyway. There are guys tearing their limbs apart to be the most "ripped" out of their group of friends. Cosmetic surgery has gone up something like %300 in the past 10 years, people are even getting surgery to look less "black" or "asian". Everyone has something - whether it be part of their body or their personality - that they would like to change. They feel they are inadequite in comparison to someone they know, which is bullshit because we are all different and being different is a good thing.

I thought it would be nice if I started a thread on here where people can say what they like about themselves for once, without worrying if people think they're stuck up or egotistical or whatever. I love my eyes!!! I have GREAT taste in clothes & music. I'm intelligent & I'm funny. I'm blessed with great friends & family & I live in a great city (although it has a bad rep). How about you?

Since many orgers said I have beautiful eyes I'm in love with my eyes But the other thing I like about me is music - in these times where everyone of my age listen to crap which is being played the radio, I'm very glad I have my own and great musical taste..

I've never grown-up. I'm still interested by the same stuff I was interested in when I was like ten years-old. Maybe this means I was born middle-aged.

I love who I am. My personality, my don't-take-no-sh*t-attitude, my features (my almond-shaped eyes, and high cheek bones), my skin tone, my smile, my spirit. We all have days where we don't like something about ourselves, like a bad hair day, don't like what clothes we wear on a particular day, but those are usually temporary feelings. It becomes sad, when some people just don't like something about themselves at all, and it becomes a real insecurity, causing them to take desperate measure in changing it. After reading a thread about how so many people are so unhappy about what they look like, I think it is sad that they just can't seem to accept the unique qualities they've been blessed with. It seems people fall for these false images of beauty that society bullsh*ts them with, instead of looking in the mirror and appreciating what they already have.

One thing people have to remember is that these false images of beauty that are presented to them, will one day grow old, and not look like the original image once presented to them. It's a shame that men/women/young people allow these false representations of so-called beauty to control what they "should look like" instead of appreciating the beauty they already possess. We are all beautiful in our own, unique way.

As for me, I like my face & boobs. Like that my friends can count on me when so many people are flaky. I like my bizzare sense of humor, weird interests, & love for art and museums. Overall I really, really like who I am right now, probably moreso than I have before in my life.

I use to be so self conscious about being skinny. All thru school I was teased and into adulthood. But I love being my size now. There are so many people that want to lose weight. I was feeling sorry for myself one day and complaining to my boyfriend. He told me' Baby there are men that would walk around the world to have a little woman like you. that made me feel better.

I have a way of charming people into getting what I want sometimes. Not always, but sometimes.


I've gotten upgrades on car rentals, hotel rooms, plane seats--you name it.


I also have a way of making people feel a little bit better when they're in a bad mood. These are 'tricks' more than something intrinsically built into me, but they work none the less.

I have decent taste, a fun sense of style (when I can be bothered) and I really do try to be nice and polite the vast majority of the time.

Oh, and I'm learning to be a pretty damn good cook.

i also have a love/hate relationship with my breasts.


And did i mention how fucking AWESOME my hair is? So, so awesome.

What do I love about me?

I love that I never give up on anyone I love....regardless of how long and bumpy the road.

I've just seen a friend who has been a long-term alcoholic and treating people terribly for ten years come good. It has also kept me in the wonderful relationship I am in at the moment. It also gave me the ability to spend the last four months of my mother's life by her side.

It also means I get invited to parties!
