Seriously, has the Org taught you anything?

I know it sounds lame but being on the Org has helped me with a few things. I check my spelling regularly, LOL, I'm better at being clear & concise (I hope) and it helped me stop cursing so much, which is a good thing in my book. biggrin

When I first hit the Org, I went into attack mode on some arse who was going on about Prince, the baby, his marriage - all REALLY negative stuff, a really nasty post. My response to him was LOADED with curses, probably every other word. I felt relieved to get all that out @ the time biggrin but somebody responded to my post, saying that I didn't have to be so negative while trying to highlight the positive.

Now, we all sling things back & forth at each other, I don't know how many people take things to heart from this place. But this stuck with me, it's so simple & made so much sense. I don't even remember who it was that said it but I'm grateful to that person & those words they probably didn't think twice about typing. Maybe it was the way they said it, maybe I was just in a receptive mood that day, maybe it didn't hit me until days or weeks later but it had an effect & I haven't forgotten it to this day. Though I still curse, I'm not exactly the sailor I once was & I like that.

Has being on the Org taught you anything?
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Therapy

Lots of things. I've learnt facts--mainly to do with conspiracy theories in governments. Lots of facts to do with Prince. I have learnt that I'm not as sad as I once thought for liking Prince the amount I do, cos it don't come close to what some people think of him nuts

I've learnt how to be more open minded about others' opinions. I think my spelling has improved, or, rather, I check more for fear of being pulled up on it!! I've learnt that due to one experience, on-line love is to a certain extent illusion! Well, it was for me... I've learnt that I can write and learn a lot about myself here. I've learnt about music software. I've learnt how to make on-line friends.

I've also learnt what it means to be addicted to a particular site biggrin

I have learned what the FULL SPECTRUM of personalities' reaction is to various topics...an idea is posted, and there are smart, stupid, rich, poor, this, that, reactions to it from all over the planet. I cannot get this information anywhere else--I'm learning a good bit about humanity here.

I learned how pathetic it sounds to complain and look at the negative all the time.
It only proved to me once again that most (current/former) Prince fans are intelligent, silly, and special.
That the org is a bridge to the world.

I´ve learned a lot about Prince (his music, himself), fans, fams, re-discovered old music, met friends, "met" people on the other end of the world that I otherwise would never meet, discovered new sites and ofcourse found out that I´m not the only one with a "strange" habit wink

It's taught me that most Prince fans really don't like Prince all that much, but really like other Prince fans.

Does that make sense?

Yes, I have learned where I don't want to find love! smile

I have met so many different personalities on the Org..and from these personalities it has taught me so much about human emotions, anger, laughter, humor, trust..

The one lesson I will take with me always is, never trust to much..you never know who will bite you...when you least expect it..
