Cheerleader gets flu shot and can now only walk backwards Very upsetting and concerning. Be aware of the dangers, people. |

The dangers? Yes, there is a risk. But did you miss the part where it describes this as "one in a million." Though of course cases like this should be reported, IMO the timing seems fishy. News items like this always pop up during vaccination season, and read more as an attempt to scare people away from vaccines than any legitimate concern for the afflicted or, for that matter, ethical journalism.
Incidentally, there IS a treatment. Cogentin, a drug often used to treat patients with Parkinson's, is also effective on dystonias. That "there is no cure" line read in the voice over is particularly disingenious because it completely neglected to mention there is effective treatment available. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

If I'm getting the flu shot I'll be entering the clinic walking backwards. Just in case

It does. But even if it is real, cases like this are extremely rare and there IS a treatment. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
