Canadian orgers!: I have a tech question

How in the fuck do I change my computer's built-in dictionary (you know, the deal that points out spelling mistakes outside of Word documents) from that jacked up and barely literate American setting to a Canadian one? lol

I'm getting a bit tired of the ol' desk machine giving me shit for daring to spell words like neighbour, favourite, and cheque correctly.

You Yanks barely speak English. What would you know about it? Our version at least is a semblance of the Mother Tongue. lol

Windows XP.

I've already got Word changed. It's the rest of the computer I'm lost on...

It's not a big deal, really. I just hate seeing those bright red underlines on a word I know I've done right. razz

I know in MacOSX...U go to system prefrences>international>language>edit list...

and it takes U to a LOOOONG list instead of the abbreviated list in the first Language pane. Included are British English AS WELL as Canadian English. Click the boxes on those or whichever U like and apply and save or whatever, then restart your computer and they'll be available for selection.

I'm SURE there's something similar in Windows. I go hop on the windows machine to figure out for ya.

I had to switch to Canadian setting when speaking with Sammi form time to time for various reasons. It also makes shortcuts for those crazy accents y'all have on everything...like the ' and that crazy c y'all got.

But you don't go to the thea-tra or get to the cen-tra of a Tootsie Pop. They are pronounced thea-TER and cen-TER for a reason. hmph!
It's what you make it.

You'll never win that way. Their pronunciation is all messed up too. I mean, "a-boot"? As in, what's that all a-boot? It's just a mess up there.
