I still have about 20 Transformers and about 100 GI Joe's. I got 'em out a couple months ago just to look at 'em. Those were the days. I still love my old school Nintendo set too. Those games can't be topped to this day!

I just got my Atari 2600 Video Computer System from my mom's closet!
It's still intact, the box, the Zody's price tag, FROZEN in time! I love it! I also still have my Tyco TCR racing track with box, my Millenium Falcon, X-Wing Fighter still with the smudges, adds character...all my Star Wars figures...Mego Spider-Man and Hulk, tattered but great! Hotwheels and Matchboxes up the...! I can't part with these...I thought about selling the Atari, but it just flooded me with Christmas memories of 1981. Sniff.

i liked transformers, ninja turtles, and thundercats action figures when i was kid... but i can't think of anything that i loved so much that i held on to it...
then again, i was one of the only kids who would never use his allowance for toys... i would always spend mine on cassettes, albums, and 8-tracks (yes, i remember 8-tracks)... i actually have held on to most of those... i still have an 8-track player... i bought one about 3 years ago from radio shack... they said it was one of the last models that they were going to make... of course, most of my 8-tracks won't even play anymore... but every now and then, when i'm feeling nostalgic, i'll break out the "changes in lattitudes, changes in attitudes" 8-track... ahhh... the bookfair was the other place that a lot of my money went to... i still have a lot of those books too, sadly enough... shit, i just thought of one...
i still have my stuffed scooby doo... i got it when i was like 1 year old... it's been restuffed a ton of times and the ears have had to be sewn back on a couple of times as well... most of the collar is missing... it's not terribly soft anymore either... the fur is more scratchy than fuzzy these days... i used to always carry it around under my arm by the neck, so the stuffing would always get pushed out of the neck and his head would lean sidways... the neck has been restuffed recently, so his head stands proudly... i use to play around with his front legs a lot, too... and those have not been restuffed recently... so, if you try to sit him up, he just falls forward... one of these days, i'll actually get around to fixing that.. If so, who did you get them from? Is there one special toy that you could never part with? (adding this one) If you don't have any of your childhood toys, then share with us what were a few of your favorite ones! --- I have quite a few of my dolls, and Suzie Homemaker appliances. Most are still in Hawaii. I got most of them from my father and mother - who made it a point to spoil me rotten. I have one very, very special toy. The name given her by her maker, Mattel, was Baby First Step. She is a walking doll, who uses batteries to "toddle". She was given to me by my father the day I was born. She is with me here, in Minnesota. I spent hours on a hand held football game.
It was the one with just the red bleeps, and you had to press the buttons to make the bleep run. Hittin' buttons, and dodgin' the lighter red bleeps... hours, i tell ya... I remember playing that stupid game with the blankets pulled over my head and the speaker muffled so that no one would hear when i scored! They actually sell it now, as a nostalgic toy, but, curiously, i don't want it now... Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
