When I was a kid, I loved my Easy Bake Oven, and my brothers table hockey games. Do they still make those table hockey games? Is that like the Electronic Football, where all the players sorta "vibrated" around? Or was that "air hockey"? Or some other kind...?

i also still have my wonder woman comics. Cool! I had them too, but my mom gave away all my Barbie-type dolls to my neice. She destroyed them. Chopped off their hair, and tore off their limbs.

Mum made me a bear out of an old coat collar, which is now in my sons room. It is now a torso with a head hanging off. I also still have my comfort shawl, which still stinks of 'old goats' as my Ma says!!

The table hockey I'm referring to was popular in the late 60's & 70's, before the age of electronics and silicon. There were I think 6 men with hockey sticks on each side that you could move up and down the playing surface, twisting and turning, using handles that extended from both ends. "Choochie, choocie, choo", Mommy said to the little baby.

Sergio Aragones rocks! I still have several of his compilation books...I even mimicked his style in my early comics...later he did the "GROO" comic, and I got to meet him, shake his hand, and have him sign my issue #1! Wow...I had totally forgotten about all that... Fear is the mind-killer.

roflmao!!! The things that my brother would do to his, and he had those Original G.I. Joes, the ones tall like Barbie dolls... Here's what ya do...ya build yerself a fort from big-ass pieces of tree bark...then you place one or two older G.I. Joes in it, and place several firecrackers in the fort with 'em...light the firecrackers...stand back...and watch the fort get blown to smithereens...then search for the G.I. Joes, which usually only had burn marks on them...Repeat process when necessary...

Another thing I find quite interesting is that most "classic" toys and books are what works best with children.
Anyone have a theory as to why? Games like Monopoly, Life, Chess, and Checkers still sell. Toys like the Easy-Bake oven, Lite-Brite, and ViewMaster rule! Books like those by Dr. Seuss! Goodnight Moon! Mother Goose! Or am I just buying what my parents got for me? It seems when I buy new toys, those that are not classic, it is of very little interest to my 4 year old. . I still have the paddle from a paddle ball I got as a kid. The ball broke off years ago. But my mama dipped it in acrylic afterwards and beat our asses with it as children when we pissed her off.
