Yeah, but under the obama plan I do not need to have insurance! I can just wait until I get sick or hurt then sign up, get treated, then drop it. And it was more of a joke than anything.

U go ahead and try that. U have heard of pre-existing conditions...right?

it don't work like that.

Justifiably, the state can force me into buying car insurance. For if I don't the cost of my accidents are force upon others.

If U don't have health insurance, the cost of your lifestyle, the way U eat, your sexual habits, the risks U take, are forced upon me without recourse.

A public health plan paid for by EVERYONE is an acceptable recourse, or U insuring your own health without forcing others pick up the cost of your decisions; of not having to pay for it for years but still benefiting from the ways that hospitals are forced to help U.

Accidents happen, and by definition, they're unforeseeable. When a misfortune of health falls, no one knows.

oh so then you are opposed to the obama heath care reform bill!

In illinois, you cannot buy a plate sticker if you do not show proof of insurance so in a way, they are forcing you to buy insurance.

You know the deal with treadmills? you know why some cost $100 -$200 or maybe less and some cost $700 - well over $1000?

the cheep ones are garbage! But they KNOW that most of them will be used a few times and then end up being a cloths hanger/dust collector and end up being sold in a garage sail for 8 bucks (down from 15). So they are designed to not be used.

but use one normally for a few weeks and watch it break.

No they are not. having insurance(or proof of financial responsibility) may be a condition of registering a car but that is not forcing you to do anything. Are you forced to have a car?

I agree...the FEDERAL gov't CAN'T force U to buy car insurance. Neither can the state gov't. What the state gov't CAN do is make the penalty U for not having car insurance so great that having car insurance becomes worthwhile. That is what many if not all states do. These are also similar to the polocies, i believe, will be put into place concerning health insurance. It's not fair that others health liabilities be forced onto others who are ALREADY covering their OWN liabilities.

You can't register a car without having insurance. What does the actual ownership of the car have to do with this? You also are not going to be forced to buy insurance. You have every right not to.

no becasue if you do not BUY it then you will get taxes/fined for NOT having it.

Which if diffrent from the car insurance law, as there is no way to NOT have or use your body. If you do not have or do not use your car then you do not have to have insurance and you can not be fined for not having insurance. But if you have a body then you have two options: buy insurance or pay a tax/fine. The tax/fine is going to be used to fund the public option, which means you will be paying for someone else to have insurance. Which makes it not an option but a requirement.

But I guess this is off topic so I am not posting on this matter in this topic again.

In Illinois, if you have a car and even if you do not use it, you can still be fined for not having car insurance. They do random checks here. and while you could be fined for not having insurance, you still have the option not to.

And I don't care about paying for someone else to have insurance.

Why do u buy porn when its free all over the internet??

Blu-ray....convience. The last porns I bought were blu ray. Sometimes paying for it is easier than hunting it down, converting it, putting it on dvd. I usually like to lay in bed, be comfortable while I "practice". My desktop isn't conducive to that behavior.

People think they don't need car insurance untill they accidentally hit someone and maim them...god forbid, kill them.

Lets say U have an accident and break your back/neck a la Chris Reeve...whatcha gonna do....huh?

In the Uk we have this thing called The National Health Service or NHS for short. I did my back in, after 18 months of being in chronic pain for sciatica at one point i was on pethodine and Diazepam( thank god for the Orb for the tunes) and morphine after the operation.

They operated by taking a disc out if I have had private health care I would of gone for it at week 3. This happened in 1994 and i still suffer from back pain and sciatica. so dont hope too much to be sorted out in a timely manner.
