Which multivitamin is better for women: Centrum or One-A-Day? Which is better for women in their late 20's, early 30's?

None of the ones you mentioned are worth buying because they're simply not strong enough. Your body will probably assimilate very little of the vitamin content. Solgar make the best multivitamins on the market and i'm sure they do a womens supplement:)

I take Boots multivitamins. A friend of mine swears by Blackmores but they seem way over-priced and far too strong for taking one a day. I could be wrong though. The Boots ones we take, multivitamins with minerals and iron, and calcium + vitamin D, seem to do the trick.

It would be much better to spend a bit more $ and get a Whole Food vitamin supplement

Neither is good.
For a few extra bucks you can get GNC vitamins, which are alot better. Or these: http://www.purityproducts...dept_id=29 Purity Source vitamins are uber great. Try to get multivitamins that are cold pressed. Heat pressing damages a lot of vitamins (much like cooking veggies diminishes their nutritional value).

I never take any vitamin from any bottle, particularly a plastic one.
It's best to get it from your food in it's "purest" form, if that exists. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

Another thing. Getting a little bit of sun each week, and eating lots of fruits and veggies is far more (I mean EXPONENTIALLY) far more beneficial than any multivitamin.

It's best to get it from your food in it's "purest" form, if that exists. Ditto...and of course it does exist in purest form especially if U follow a healthy or organic diet. It is also completely false that food is so processed that it doesn't provide any goodness. Very few vitamins are affected by how it is cooked, like those in vegetables. To minimise this, use only a little water and cook for only a short time like stir frying or steaming. Environmental factors should be taken into consideration as well i.e. Vitamin D is also made in our bodies from sunlight on our skin.

My wife bought me banana, pumpkin, carrot, kidney been and black sesame seed milkshake today. Pretty sure it was packed with vitamins.

That actually would be much more affective than most vitamins Pumpkins are loaded with good stuff. I don't know anything about kidney beans (you misspelled 'bean' by the way), but I'm sure they're great too. All remember, it's pronounced "Vite"-a-mins, not that silly 'Vit'-a-min garbage the Brits like to say. I swear, they murder the Queen Latifa's language all the time.

Companies will advertise it. You can google them too. I think http://xtreme-vitamins.com/shop/Vitamin are all cold pressed. Also, the "green drinks" which is another way of consuming vitamins are all cold-dried. Centrum and one-a-day are heat pressed.

yes! I'm a little torn, since we went millions of years without vitamin pills. But we also ate 100% organic, got more exercise, did not breath in lots of pollution, and died at 35 We also didn't have medicine or air conditioning, both of which I appreciate very much. Not to mention Internet porn. But I digress. Supplements can be dangerous and deliver too much of a good thing, especially if you're already eating a balanced diet. Many vitamins and minerals can be toxic in excessive amounts, and lots of us already get enough. If you eat a fortified cereal for breakfast, for example, fortified bread throughout the day, fruit as a snack, and some meat and veggies for dinner, AND take a vitamin supplement, you've already far exceeded the recommended allowance for at least some of the vitamins and minerals. This can make you sick. Also, whole foods deliver the vitamins packaged with all the thousands of phytonutrients and chemicals that they're supposed to come with, all of which work together to ensure optimum absorption and use by the body. I'd only recommend supplementation to someone who really eats like shit (fast food, no fresh food) and doesn't plan on changing that.

'been' Honestly, I'm not so fussy about my vitamins. I try to eat a balanced diet and I'm happy if I can pick up some reputable but cheap Boots vitamins when they're buy 2 get 1 free. They never exceed 100% for the RDA on anything. It's just a little boost, a backup. Even if my body only got 20 or 30% or something of what the bottle purports to provide it's ok. I'd never want to rely on them. In an average week I think I'd get pretty much everything I need. I could spend four times as much on some vitamins but I'd be left wondering why I wasn't just buying even more fruit and veg. or indeed something like that milkshake I had. Was so tasty too!
