you want the whole sequence of events?

lol

I put my macpro to sleep, and then changed my mind, so I tried to wake it up.

Also, I noticed my USB headphones plugged in so I took them out.

So I get an unresponsive mac with a flashing power light.

I googled flashing power light mac-pro

Forums point to RAM issue, reset RAM

So I google reset RAM

it says

hold down Apple-Option-P-R while powering up and hold keys down until machine chimes twice

(I had to get help to do this since I don't have enough hands to perform the operation)

it's like pull on the branch 5 times to open the secret doorway in the famous 5.

You can't just unplug stuff from a USB port on a Mac willy-nilly. You need to "dismount" it.

In this case, all you probably needed to do was power down...wait about 10 seconds...then power back up. shrug

I tried that already, it didn't start up, just gave the blinking light

I realise the USB pulling out was not so good.
where do I "dismount"?

I realise to dismount a volume you drag to trash - how do you do that with a pair of headphones? They have no icon on the desktop to drag.

That's because you're below the equator, so everything's backwards.

Yeah, I don't think you can eject anything that doesn't have an icon. I think your headphone deal isn't really a part of the problem, but I could be wrong.

If you plugged into the USB port, there must be an icon somewhere - maybe even one called "untitled." (That's how my camera shows up on my desktop - it's always murder when I want to disconnect it because I can't spot it without hunting.)

Cameras & such are like external drives because they contain information. But I don't need to eject a mouse or a printer from my MAC

...they just become unresponsive and mysterious.

I plugged my phone and camera in several times while typing.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Yea, it's been great to me, but I'm installing Windows 7 later this week.
