The Independent Film Channel I really dig this channel! Does anyone else enjoy watching IFC? The films on there seem to be much more interesting than a lot of what is being released out there lately, in my opinion.
Grrrr.. [This message was edited Thu Jan 9 0:40:29 PST 2003 by AzureStar]

It is a good channel! I don't get to watch television too much anymore, unless it's at night. My kids take it over during the day.

Watch 'City of God'...shockingly funny and true. One of those movies where your heart needs massaging afterwards...

Ah, I had that channel in high school..it had...that movie with Rupert Everett as the mortician, and the one with Brad Pitt as that house painter, and the movie about the naked Mexican women and the food they cooked, and the movie about the skinny guy who travels to some snowy country to find his old girlfriend, and the one with that guy in the house full of ghosts, where they used this really obvious body double for a shot in the love scene.
Sometimes, though, I think there are two rules for indie films: 1. When in doubt, make a movie about making movies. Worked for Shakespeare! 2. Nudity is A-OK. You're indie, so it's art!

Did you happen to watch "Hard Eight" a couple of weeks ago? Didn't watch it. Got the DVD of all of P.T. Anderson's stuff. You might not have been interested but I gave crowned them the kings of movies when they did the blaxploitation week.

I was truly impressed that four characters could keep you interested in the plot for two hours. You'll probably like Punch Drunk Love.

There was this one movie entirely in Spanish that was really cool, where this dude kidnapped this chick he liked, and stuff. -------

Yes... that is a great movie! I saw it for the third time a few weeks ago on this very channel. Didn't David Lynch's son or daughter direct this?

I like Dinner for Five, With the Filmmaker & Independent Focus. The latter is horribly produced/edited & Elvis Mitchell is stiff as all hell, lol, but they talk to some interesting directors. They need new episodes already!
IFC, Bravo, Sundance Channel BTW, was anybody digging The IT Factor on Bravo?? I love the shit outta that shit! Inside the Actors Studio needs to come back to form...
