Reiki / healing Hi orgers
When I lived in I srael there were lots of Reiki going there. Here in France we don't hear about it much. Do you know about it ? Have you experienced it ? Do you "believe" in it ? Thanks for your answers, V.

Thanks Mach for your answer. How do you proceed ? What kind of wounds/diseases can you "cure" ? DO you send people to the doctor if needed ?

My knowledge of Reiki, is very easy to learn & know a few practitioners in the UK, but only for healing others (personally I don't understand the blus flame theory of self protection). It really depends on ur knowledge of healing arts. Tia Chi, very good healing art form, for self healing. Energy transference is something else though. Mine is Qigong, although again there are different forms. But it depends on exactly what you want to do.
R u interested in healing urself or someone else? Do u have any martial knowledge? What about holistic medicine? I know there are a huge number of Qigong & Tia Chi practitioners in France. So why not talk to some sifus & get there advise. Hope this helps.

I've experienced it and it's worked for me.
I've participated in healing circles for others and they have reported healing/improvement.

It's great.
I used to be healed by a reiki master as well and it worked just fine. My ex mother in law was healed from a growth, it became smaller and smaller and disappeared. I have experience tai Chi as well, it's very smooth and makes yopu feel better... My point is : in case people don't want surgery, for a reason or another, would you advise them to go to a healer ?

Yes, but i would also advise the practise of a health promoting exercise. The better the chi flows, the less the blockages therefore the least chance of ailments. Have a look on the web, if u were in the UK, well, I could advise on a sifu. Hope this aids in ur search.

My friend did reiki on me, I don't remember it having much effect, though I don't think there was anything wrong with me at the time - she was always practising all that stuff on me for school. I do remember feeling a pleasant heat under her hands at many points.

I believe in Reiki and other forms of healing. I suppose you could call it mind over matter? Power of positive thinking? Whatever, I have been healed and know others who have benefited from Reiki and similar practices.
I would always recommend that people also seek help from a medical doctor as well. The two types of treatment can work together very well. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

Sorry, but it's wank.
Placebo. We actually had a Masters student test some Reiki on cancer cells (our Uni is very open minded like that), no effect. Perhaps the Raiki deliverer was wank? I found it a very hard concept to accept. Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

my partner has used this when he broke his leg. the practicioner came to the hospital and was able to tell us that there was a problem with the way they re-set the bone. as it turns out there was a problem and he nearly lost the leg!
i've used it as well. i am a believer.

I don't believe in it at all. Not gonna say that I think it's a hoax, but for me personally there's nothing in the concept that convinces me it's anything more than hope manifested (which I admit the affects of this can actually bring about positive results to a person in reason).

Why not evaluate ur chi, get a seed place it in the centre of ur hand. Open ur acupuncture points under ur arm & c if u can move the seed.
Or get a chain with a pendant. Dangle the chain from one hand to the centre of the other. C if u can get the pendant to rotate. These r just fun to try

I had severe Rheumatoid Arthritis, was taking Methotrexate and Humira as well as Vicodin every day for pain without any slowing of the disease process. A friend of mine, without my knowledge, did something that actually stopped the progress of the disease in just a few days. I have the residual damage but absolutely no active disease. I've been able to go from monthly doctor visits to yearly, "just in case" visits, I no longer have to take any meds except the occasional Ibuprofen My doctor says that this is unheard of and that I am an extremely lucky person, I totally agree. I have to emphasize that I did not know he had this knowledge or capability when this happened. I did not know it was happening. So in my case I would rule out placebo. An unexplained remission? Perhaps, but it was extremely fast and complete. Of course, this is just my own experience and viewpoint. I would like to see proper double blind studies done. with many practitioners, under varying circumstances.. It would be interesting to see the results. Two other points: There is nothing wrong in getting cured by a placebo effect- whatever does the trick is all good. Anyone with a serious disease process should seek the care of the best medical doctors they can afford. Research and make sure you're getting the gold standard of treatments. Then if you want to add Reiki or some other healing "art", it might be beneficial. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

My ex mother in law had a growth and reiki made it smaller and smaller until it disappeared.
She wasn't a believer but it simply worked for her.

A psychologically or stress included disorder can be "cured" by thee methods because you will them away just like you will them to happen - so there is of course a place for these healing methods.
