I use my ipod every night, but almost never listen to music.
I listen to books while I fall asleep

i think so, ask dan he would know.

maybe they have to add the mic part to it yet, i dont know as i have the first iTouch. if it doesnt have a mic that and a camera is expected to be out soon around christmas.

what i wish they would make is an iPhone in nano size or a iPod nano with web capabilities so i can use the iPod nano as a phone. I love its size and it has a video recording and voice recording capabilities. cloud9

nano has mic and video and it kicks ass, and it has radio capabilities too, nice for me to listening to NPR.

an

I don't know about an iphone but friends who have one love it. It's not worth the money for me, maybe if there is a model with a bigger storage it might be.

I have a 30GB ipod photo and use it most days. I had a 60GB ipod video which I absolutely loved until it fell out my pocket when running for the bus and now rattles when I shake it pout

The thing is, had it not been for audiobooks, I probably wouldn't give alot of the "slow reads" the time of day.

And for a while there was a place in town that rented them for $5. Buying them is really expensive! I suppose Aubdible has some deals, I think, if you subscribe.

Audible is much like Itune, you download the audiobooks which is much MORE convenient to me and the discount rates for members are very accessible.

Amazon though wouldn't cooperate, since it doesn't offer its "downloading" serives to customers outside of US/Canada and I'm currently living in neither,,,,,which is a drag because Amazon has more stuff that I want than Audible.

I love my Touch. I read books on it (like a Kindle) more than anything, and I maxed out with my music sad (of course I bought it a few mo ago before the upgrade)

there is a Skype app, all you need is a headphone/mic set and you are good to go!

Imma bout to get a new phone. I thought about iPhone but I don't want to pay to upgrade. Amazon had a good deal on the Nokia 5800 today love and I can trade in my Motorola for cash back! Nokia is working on their apps so I think I will have the best of both worlds cloud9

Im old school and have the ipod shuffle...2nd generation i think...Its small, easy to use when i run, holds tons of songs and clips onto your clothes... Ive had the bigger ones with the video screen and all that and found it unnessary for what i need it for, plus it isnt as easy to work out with...My son used his iphone or whatever it is but he has to hold it or lay it down when he works out which is prob ok for him since hes into weight lifting...The bad thing about the new ipod shuffle they have out is you have to use the headphones that it comes with because the controls are on the headphone cord.. mad

I'd get they iPod/iTouch... I'm in the same boat as vendetta, it appears I can't live without the damn thing. lol

I do a lot of recording, writing songs on mine. Got Skype account 2 months ago paying $2.95 a month for unlimited calls Canada/US. Here's the link for more info http://www.skype.com/getconnected/. Apples apps are amazing just amazing, anything you can think of or whatever suits your interest... they seem to have it.

Love listening to the different NPR stations too. They kicked homeboy Steve Cushing's "Blues Before Sunrise" off of Chicago NPR 91.5 and he ended up having go to some NPR college station located in the wilderness. I'm glad I can hear his show again.
