The Girls of "insert company name here" I found out today that my boss is throwing around the idea of doing a company calendar - featuring his female employees.
I work in a business that's male dominated...I don't have all the details yet, but I can only imagine... Oh man, how would you feel about this?

Disgusted. Unless the calendar includes males too, I feel it's inappropriate for work. Shake it til ya make it

One of my co-workers and good friend is all over it, she was totally egging him on. She thinks it's great and picked her month already. Me? I'm not so sure about this...

I couldn't imagine why someone would want an all girl calendar for any other reason than to get their jollies. I'm sure something like this would be against company policies. Shake it til ya make it

Don't get me wrong, my boss is the coolest mofo ever, that's why I'm not fully understanding this idea...

I've had cool bosses and if they suggested something like this I'd pull them aside and explain why it was a BAD idea. Of course, I'm always looked at as a puritan at work. |

From what I heard (second hand) everyone (ok, the men who discussed this idea) thinks our customers would love it.

Well, technically he hasn't said a word to me about it yet so I'll have to see. It just doesn't seem like him at all to even suggest this...he met with his managers this week...I can see them saying something like this, but not him. It's very odd to me.

Erin, you need to be the voice of reason and tell your boss that if anybody is gonna distribute questionable pictures of yourself, it's gonna be you...online...on a prince fan site...for a bunch of people you dont know...

I wouldn't have a problem with it. Virgin have already produced an all male calender it was wild!

This will suck for all the NON-HOT girls at your job Erin.

I would refuse to participate - right to privacy or something like that. I had to have my picture taken for inclusion in our company's monthly e-newsletter and I HATE HATE HATE having my photo taken, let alone having it floating in cyberspace. I talked them into letting me hide behind a Prince album so you can only see my eyes. I don't like the idea of letting all sorts of people I don't know see my face, name, where I work, etc. Living in NYC and working for a company that interacts with a lot of people I don't want to take any chances having random guys know too much about me. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Tacky, exploitive, and reeks of the perverse fascination we have with everyone trying to find way to get 15 Minutes in front of an audience. More than that, unlike sites where you consciously choose your own image and who gets to see it, those calendars end up in the hands of God knows who. Once you sign the release form for the photographs to be taken they can be used for whatever purpose deemed fit by whoever ownership goes to after this os over. Think twice, Mama, and make sure tis won't be some bullshit to come back and haunt you. Anything beyond you sitting in full-on designer garb behind a power desk or against an solid color editorial style backround... I would be very wary of

Well, i guess before i formed an opinion i'd have to ask what the proceeds were going towards? Is it benefitting the company, or are the proceeds going to some charity? I mean if it's a breast cancer benefit calendar or something along those lines, i wouldn't think it was a bad idea if done tastefully. http://www.facebook.com/p...111?ref=ts
y'all gone keep messin' around wit me and turn me back to the old me......

If I worked at a company that did this, I probably wouldn't participate, but I wouldn't have a problem with people who wanted to. What kind of company is it?

From what I heard (second hand) everyone (ok, the men who discussed this idea) thinks our customers would love it. generally it's a much better marketing idea than one with pictures of guys, but I'd say that verges on a lawsuit type of suggestion My Legacy
